They ordered me a new short block. Anybody have any idea of the ramifications of this? Ford has been very accommodating thus far, but I have not yet received a root cause analysis.

Updates from this week: My dealership service technician spoke with a Ford service technician on the issue. They no longer think it is the throwout bearing, and I was informed today that they now believe it is engine related and will be taking the motor apart. I pressed for further details...
