It is super easy and will take no more than 10 minutes. All you need is a 7mm hex socket.
First pull out the trim piece below the headlight panel. Just pull out from the left side (easier if the driver door is open). You won't break the clips - worst is they will fall off and you'll just need...
So I have actually got the bottom of this, after about 18 months. I have always had intermittent "Satellite Acquiring Signal" drop-outs (typically 3-4 times on my 20 mile commute each day), even with a totally clear sky. And yet, like others, sometimes I am in a tunnel and the reception is fine...
I never got it figured out. The dealer/shop is waiting for another auto Mustang to come in to compare. It's pretty frustrating but not sure what other actions I can take.
Any advice welcome! Or, if your dealer manages to identify the problem, please let me know - that would be super helpful as...
Hi,
Since the beginning my 2017 GT automatic has had an annoying problem. When driving off slowly from a stop, sometimes after the car gets moving, but BEFORE it shifts up to 2nd, there will be a little hesitation, then a little clunk and a jerk, before the car continues to move forward...
Here's my sequence - let me know if I have omitted anything. Note I am on a MY 17 Nav car. I believe that this process does not work on non-Nav vehicles due to memory limitations. I also believe that this process will not work if Gracenote has been screwed up during the unofficial 3.0 install...
At least with the nav version, downgrading from 3.0 -> 2.2 and then going 2.2 -> 2.3 is safe.
It seems the issues are all on non-nav systems due to the reduced amount of memory/storage on those.

Colleton - you only need to go through this convoluted process if Gracenote has been messed up by your update to Sync3 3.0.
If not, you can just download the official 2.2 from the link in that post (yes - the post is about the F150 - but the link works with all 2017 model year cars). Then...
You can downgrade the leaked 3.0 to official 2.3 but you need to go via official 2.2 first. (i.e. leaked 3.0 -> official 2.2 -> official 2.3)
Each release has a version check which compares the current version installed with "known" existing version strings. The 2.3 install script checks for...
Hi,
The cover over the airbag on the driver's seat (see photo attached) is very loose and rattles while driving. I would like to remove the cover to put some foam/flocking underneath to stop it moving ... but I don't want to damage the cover, or the airbag inside.
Has anyone removed this and...
Hi,
I bought a new 2017 Mustang GT convertible (automatic) around a month back and have since done 2500 miles on it. The car has quite a few problems which are each minor but together really annoying ... I have it booked into Veracom Ford in San Mateo tomorrow to take a look at but I wonder in...
Is this on a Sync 2 or Sync 3 system? I'd love to see confirmation (or otherwise) from someone who has tried the nav lockout fix on a Sync 3 system with success.
Thanks!
