As I watched my Shelby GT350 drive away for the last time, I asked if the new buyer could put on the loud button. Fortunately he had to turn around to get out of the tract, so I got to see and hear the car coming and going one last time. "Damn what a good looking car", I exclaimed. I have/ had...
It feels strange to be writing this. My GT350 has always seemed like a keeper, but I really don't use it very much, so I am considering selling. Last year I purchased a 2017 Suzuki GSXR-1000 and this has been my go to toy.
While I love looking at the GT350, I kind of don't want to put on the...
I have 17k miles on my 2017 GT350. My records show that in the first 10k miles my oil consumption was about 1 quart every 2k miles. But in the last 4,500 miles my records show that I have used less than a quart of oil (maybe about 12 oz) and I have cleared about 4 oz from the passenger catch...
Further Update - More good news. Tramlining now appears to be minimal or even non existent. Not sure what eliminated the tramlining but now it is mostly gone. It could be.
1) The new PS4's are better than the OEM Pilot Sports
2) Correcting the excess tow out.
3) It is just my perception, as new...
UPDATE - I put on new tires and had the car aligned I was very happy with shop. They knew what the hell they were doing. Front Left tire that wore out prematurely on the inside had too much toe out. This caused the premature wear.
I got 15k miles out of the 1st set with a bad alignment. I am...
At about 15,000 miles on the car with the original tires, I noticed that the driver side front tire on the inside is completely worn through with fabric showing. These are the original tires. The rears are just starting to get to the wear bars. I was expecting to replace the rears first. Now it...
Unbelievable. 25k over list for a GT350 and 65k over for an R.
I guess the answer to the original question "Are People REALLY this Stupid?" is.....
YES!
Bought mine out of state in oregon and brought it to Cali and smogged it.
The GT350 is a 50 state car, meaning there is no difference between Cali cars and the other 49 state cars. You CAN'T buy a 49 state car (non CA compliant) and bring it into CA unless it is used, which is defined as 7,500...
Every once in a while I think of selling my GT350. Why?... Because I don't need it and I only use it for fun rides. It is a little (lots) over the top for a daily driver. It does take up one of three spaces in my garage and costs a lot to insure. My true passion... sport bikes. Sport bike...
I live in Long Beach, South Bay adjacent. I don't think that was me. I have an AG with no stripes and black roof. Just noticed another of my exact same color combination in Long Beach show up. I was like WTF????? Haha Maybe it was him? Or maybe it was me and I don't remember since I am old...
California - Lane Splitting yes, but no other state allows. But still if a two cars in adjacent lanes are pretty much nose to bumper, I can still get through that gap and it isn't really lane splitting.
The Shelby GT350 is really such a joy to drive and has been part of the reason the bike has...
Just posted about a cross country ride from SoCal to Dallas and back on my Yamaha FJR1300.
https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/motorcycle-vs-car-for-long-distance-travel.109635/#post-2341235
The GT350 is better than the FJR1300 in MANY ways if not MOST ways. But the Yamaha FJR1300 excels...
I just took my motorcycle (Yamaha FJR1300) from SoCal to Dallas and back with my wife on back. My preference is desolate two lane twisty back roads. We were debating taking the GT350, as it is the shiny new toy. My FJR is a 2006 and has 50k miles, not so shiny.. Part of me wanted to take the...
There is no real big aha's being posted here other than an observation.
I am in the process of driving across the country. I have been on my motorcycle for three days going from SoCal to Dallas, then in a car for a day going to Biloxi and then two days coming back to Dallas. In over 2,000 miles...
Personally I don't like Yellow, yet I love the Orange Fury. Haven't yet seen it in person.
But would I buy it. Probably not. Since I drive on the road I need something that flies under the radar, literally. My AG with black roof and NO stripes fits the bill. I don't need to draw attention to...
I did not realize that my car was "severely underpowered". Haha....
I doubt that a supercharged GT350 would get around a track any quicker than a NA version, and that is the point of the car.
Buy new vs used - my theory...
Cars that are generally cheaper and maintain their value well. Buy new.
Honda civic, Toyota Corolla. If these cars were 20k new, then a three year old example would only be 15k. Not much a discount considering it is a 3 year old car, I have to spend my time...
I have tried to update using the Post #1 link for a 2017 Shelby GT350. The above link did not work for me (I have tried numerous times), but using Ford's website, I was able to update my software from 2.0 to 2.3. So I think the software maybe model/vin# specific? Or maybe just Operator Error :(
