Haha, amen to that. I'm just a numbers and engineering nerd and while you usually can't get something for nothing it's always fun to try. I even thought about how hard it would be to add a pair of power recovery turbines but that's a topic for a different thread...
I had this experience in my old GTI but in the Mustang the RPM immediately drops to the correct speed for the next numerical gear, including the big drop to 6th, then holds there a couple seconds. It's not hanging before the drop.
Regarding the Steeda spring, thanks for the feedback, is the...
Haven't seen anyone else talking about this anywhere... A few days after getting my manual '17 GT I noticed it will auto rev match on up shifts... Pretty cool feature most of the time but since it seems to activate based on clutch disengagement and throttle input alone it makes skipping gears...
So right now I'm on a bit of an aero research frenzy, mostly looking to reduce drag but also improving down force/reducing lift where there isn't too much penalty. So far I've found APR's GTC-200 drag wing that claims to reduce drag and add some downforce but what other options are there...
I was curious about this myself. Makes me wonder how those ducts reduce splitter effectiveness since many supercars have similar ducts around the front wheels.
