It is flexible enough to contour to the wheel well. I laid it right on top of the sheet metal. I just had to cut out a piece to fit over the spare tire mount.

Congrats!! Glad things worked out. Consider getting 5% tint in the rear windows. The tint guy talked me out of it saying I would only see headlights at night. I did 15% in the rear and still only see headlights at night. I think the 5% would make the shadow black pop.
