Should I assume that since I can't get a reading I am drawing more than 10 amps ? Seems like my battery would drain a lot more than it is if that was the case.

I believe a newly installed car stereo is draining my battery. All my Amps appear off but I think my remote wire is connected to a constant source and even though everything is off its still draining battery.

I've tried on 2 different DMMs on the positive and negative side and cannot get a reading. Something about mustangs that I am missing ? I have triple checked my dmm settings and tested on other vehicles. Vehicle is 16 mustang gt base factory battery.

From what I understand or was told is that the base model does not have an amp it runs strictly from the HU. Is there alternative method to wire into the HU ?

May not be the solution to your specific issue but I use invisible glass and news paper and its cleaned everything with no issues. Micro fibers never work for me. And always do it when the windows are cool.

For future reference if anyone has this setup with the same issue. You can turn the gto feature off and run the remote wire from fuse 23 in the passenger footwell fuse box to the lc2i remote in.

Right now on the lc2i I have a remote wire out going to my Amps. Once your confirm the fuse number I plug that into the remote wire in and turn the gto(smart sense) feature off. Simple as that ?

I looked it up fuse 23 is a 10 amp fuse for power windows. Rear view mirror. Would that work ? And just run the remote wire from that fuse to my amps ?
