  1. Better Daily Driver

My impression from test driving was that a GT with PP made for a stiffer ride though that was without Magneride. For DD I feel like a GT without PP would probably be enough unless the PP was desired for the track.
  2. EB Premium PP vs. GT Premium

Wait really? I had two dealers tell me it can only be done with an auto. How about 2019? I would absolutely love a GT PP!
  3. EB Premium PP vs. GT Premium

So I'm now convinced that a GT is fine for daily driving. However, a dealer nearby got an EB Premium with performance package and I am wondering if I should make the drive out to try it. I am waiting for dealers to get back to me with pricing to build an '18 GT, but here's the problem: I can't...
  4. Is a GT too impractical for daily driving?

I'm afraid of that. I'm also worried I'll get a '19 and the next year, '20 will be a huge improvement or something awesome that I will regret not getting (like the comeback of DIB). As lame as it sounds I will probably get an auto as I have foot and back issues. Man I sound old...I'm only in my 20s!
  5. Is a GT too impractical for daily driving?

Haha, same fiance. I understand how it all sounds and we are definitely working out some issues, though you can bet I don't put up with them silently. First time I bought a Mustang I barely told him about it because I could guess the fuss he'd make. You know, it's funny because he actually...
  6. Is a GT too impractical for daily driving?

Yeah, that sounds like something my over-cautious fiance would say. I got dinged several times in my Ecoboost. Worst was when someone hit my car in a parking garage (and I parked pretty far) and ran away...I came back to a nice crushed bumper & light. Can't let the possibility of bad things...
  7. Is a GT too impractical for daily driving?

Thanks, that is really helpful. I'm impressed you can make it work so well with two kids! We just have pets, though the fiance drives an old minivan that we can use to haul around big/messy stuff as necessary. I personally hate it and it makes me dread commuting even more. I'm really just...
  8. Regret selling my DIB! What's the second-best option?

Yeah, Kona looked really flat to me in person. It's nice in its own right but just not my thing. As much as I would love to get a Mustang now, I'm thinking more that I don't want to settle for second-best if I can help it.
  9. Regret selling my DIB! What's the second-best option?

Life just got real busy and I went and test drove a GT! Still don't love lightning as much as DIB and a salesperson told me he heard rumors of DIB coming back in 2020. Just rumors though of course. I can't believe all the relationship advice I'm getting here lol.
  10. Ford.com Switch to 2019 Configurator

I've been looking for a picture of Velocity Blue and found one here on Twitter.
  11. Is a GT too impractical for daily driving?

Too tired to respond to everyone but thanks for all the input! I saw a couple common themes and I guess I'll address them all at once. I am concerned about mpg probably needlessly, it is something that is driven into my head thanks to my frugal fiance. But like you guys said, kind of a moot...
  12. Is a GT too impractical for daily driving?

Sounds terrible. No suicidal deer here, just the occasional suicidal squirrel. Can't imagine hitting something that big
  13. Is a GT too impractical for daily driving?

Still here! Was definitely a big surprise to see how derailed the thread got. It's all helpful though.
  14. Is a GT too impractical for daily driving?

I really gotta try quiet mode. Actually, I'm a lady, he's the one trying to wield his power right now ;) He's an extremely frugal guy and doesn't believe in buying new cars, much less a GT.
  15. Is a GT too impractical for daily driving?

That's pretty good, I would be fine with that!
  16. Is a GT too impractical for daily driving?

Lol true. I already get up at 5am to arrive on time and don't want to do any earlier...not a morning person!
  17. Is a GT too impractical for daily driving?

Oof 8mpg! :eyebulge: Well it's heavy traffic some days, but not THAT bad. I used to do a daily commute that took 2.5hrs instead of 45min without traffic. Right now my max would probably be 1hr in really bad traffic.
  18. Is a GT too impractical for daily driving?

Thanks for the thoughts guys. The older GT is actually priced at a little less than the Eco Premium! Definitely need to take it for a good test drive. I drove an '18 GT at a dealer but got stuck in traffic and the sales guy seemed a little terrified the whole time whenever I gave it some gas.
  19. Is a GT too impractical for daily driving?

I had an Ecoboost Premium before and was pretty happy with it, though I was planning on doing some mods. Sold it and am looking at buying an '18; dealer near me has the last Lightning Blue Premium with Performance Package in the area. Some of you may know I have an obsession with DIB, so when...
  20. Is this a good price for an '18 EB Premium?

I'm shopping for an '18 Ecoboost Premium and have been having some pretty bad experiences at dealerships. I'm tempted to call it quits and wait for a pre-owned DIB to pop up instead, though I was thinking of settling for Lightning or Kona Blue...not in a hurry anymore. I was quoted $29,760...
