Love how some on here actually defend the squealing brake issue and claim that it's "cause 6 pot race brakes bro".
Owned, operated and worked on plenty of multi-piston brakes that don't squeal during normal driving..in fact my 6 piston ST's on my M3 NEVER make a sound. Funny, guess it's just...
Yeah, I agree with this as well.. I really can't believe a blow-out caused the disk to separate from the hub.
I hope you get this resolved to your liking OP, sucks to see this happen, but glad you're ok.
Are you guys really arguing that people's OPINIONS are incorrect to your own beliefs?
That's why they're OPINIONS. Can't believe some of the responses in this thread.
I've been pulled over in CA for no front plates at least 3 seperate times in my years of driving(about 13) and have not once heard this reasoning. My car was not searched, nor was I. I was handed a fix-it ticket 2 times, put on a plate, got a signature stating it had been fixed, then removed it...
These were my choice on my M3 after the Michelin PSS were done. I have to say they have not given me any issues, wet/dry, hot/cold. Granted I'm not beating the piss out of them all the time, but a very good tire with a decent price compared to the PSS.
Well I'm fairly "new school" and I'll be swapping the wheels out as soon as the car arrives since I find them rather ugly. Also, I'm a fan of contrast and the black wheels/tires don't give me that. They seem too "mesh" for me on a mustang as well. I figure it would look better on a euro car...
If I had to guess, it's protective film attached to that "bump stop" looking thing. Most likely to prevent damage from shipping.
EDIT: Oh, and congrats OP!! Patience is a virtue no doubt. Glad to see she's coming home soon!
Close call indeed. I look like a fool when I space myself so far behind bigger tractor trailers merging on the highway, but had a similar experience as you with my M3. Unfortunately the M3 was not so lucky and got some pretty deep scratches/cuts on the front bumper.
