I think I have the engine firewall ground wire connected to the wrong location. Can someone tell me where this attaches? I currently have it connected to the top of the transmission.
I rebuilt this engine once myself but It only lasted 500 miles
It was a spun rod bearing. Rather than attempt another repair I had it professionally rebuilt.
They replaced the crank shaft rods and pistons – bored the cylinders slightly to clean up cylinder walls they used oversized pistons...
I’m getting a new sound I can’t quite place. Is this rod knock, piston slap, lifters? It seems like a vibration? It started a few days after I replace the brake/clutch pedal assembly. I assume it is the most expensive option. :)
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I just performed a piston / rod (bent rod from hydrolock) replacement on a 34,000 mile 2017 Mustang GT. No damage to the block or cylinder walls. Replaced the one piston and rod with an identical factory part. Replaced all piston rings, rod bearings and all of the gaskets / non reusable...
