well my issue is that my cars bcm is originally programmed for a 235 50 18 and can not be changed. The problem is with mileage. As im okay with a shorter tire to a certain extent. But with a 35 sidewall the difference becomes to great and mileage starts racking up quite faster. Also wouldn't it...
Well I already have coils and Titan 7 18x10 wheels as well as some cooling upgrades. I'm just trying to find out how to have fast lap times with stock wheels. My next tires for my 18x10s are going to be Bridgestone 0007's 265 45
I just thought it would be pretty neat to have tiny stock wheels...
take off the wheels and see if theres excessive play. My bearings are blue but I had them checked by a dealer and they come like that. They ordered new wheel hub assem. and they were exactly blue, just like the ones on the car.
Yeah tires first for sure. Indy 500's in a 275 40 18 config is also good too if you don't want to shell out too much money. Also depending how crazy you carve corners will be how much tire life you get out.
Id say the coils helped a lot since I dialed in more camber -1.5 in front and -2.3 in the rear. Keep in mind if your car came stock with 19's and you go down to 18s your mileage will go up faster. But not by too much. For example stock tie for my car is a 235 50 18, downsizing to a 275 40 18...
No This is a base gt. Suspension has been swapped for coil overs. The stock suspension is very soft. One of the softest Ive ever been in, Id say it was softer than my 2002 Tahoe. HAHA
Anyways I would recommend a performance pack if you intend to keep it stock because the stiffer suspension is...
What is the best grip tire for the stock 18" wheels I think they are 18x8???
More for a road racing/ autocross application.
Are we looking at a re71r??
How good is the set up going to be?
Will it be competitive??
I had the same thing happen to me, I just undid the clip aligned it as close as I could to the inside of the fender well as humanly possible so the clip has the most surface area and the screw was not going to chew up the inner paint. And I tightened that sucker pretty tight. Never has issues since.
