I wouldn't be too paranoid about this. Try out an old Mustang, and for sure there are similarities in spec (V8, 4 seats rear wheel drive) but they're streets apart in feel.
Try a good S197 (think Boss) and you just know you would like to have a bigger garage.
Not better, just different...
I am fancying some of those "50th Anniversary" Y spoke wheels for my car. I could even be my second mod - 1st being 50th Anniversary Grille not yet fitted.
I don't like the standard ones - they're a fiddle to clean. Plus new ones won't come with underseal overspray!
PS: Not been on here...
Here you go Terry:
I ran out of places so I couldn't put in Brummen in the Netherlands. Otherwise you have all my stopping points there. Each day around 4-5 hours driving.
I only went to Fontenay le Comte because of friends but it's an interesting stretch of Atlantic coastline nearby...
Either it's that freeflow exhaust set up on yours, or...are you running on Super Unleaded?
I had one tank of unbranded fuel that really seemed to go through like water down a plughole. But I've never stayed at 70 long enough to find out what mine will do :D
Presented with the opportunity...
Cheers mate!
Trust me, a picture tells a lot of lies :D The wax job I had done on the paint is still making it look really radiant in sun even when covered in a thick layer of grime.
I saw a black 'vert going the other way on a French Autoroute. The only other S550 I saw close up was a...
If you were wondering what it would be like to go on a major road trip in your 'Stang, I've just done it. Me and the Missus with a full bootload of luggage did France, Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands over 2 weeks. The stats were:
Mileage: 2069
Fuel economy: 25.2 (indicated), probably...
I've got a ticket but I'm bloomin' A. Where's that?
Seriously I do hope to catch up with you guys but I am going to be there late I think. Might not even get into my parking space but I will find you.
Cheers,
Greg
Crikey I was doing that drive around the same time as you Tacklebury!
The one thing we found a surprise was just how cold it was in Chicago but that was nothing to how cold and wet we found it in Texas. Things only started to warm up by Arizona but because it is high up, that can be pretty...
