I’ve owned a 2016 Mustang GT. That’s the base base non-SS interior. It’s not even a comparison with the base Mustang interior and the base base non-SS interior is as high quality as the premium Mustang’s interior. I still prefer the design of the Mustang’s interior though.
It’s a no brainer with moving over to the LT2 IM. You will make more power from 0 to 6,500rpms for $200. It will be the first mod I do this spring along with a tune. The swap itself is very straight forward from the “how to” guides I’ve looked over. What’s the name of the shop in Stafford? My...
The LT2 IM fits with the stock Camaro hood with zero clearance issues (C7 owners need a 2” cowl). While a 20 horsepower and torque gain isn’t impressive at first glance, keep in mind that’s with the stock tune and the gains are across the powerband. Most importantly, it widens and shifts the...
The Coyote is a better platform for FI. This was the case NA as well but with recent developments in the past year, this is no longer the case. Especially when it comes to bang for the buck mods.
The LT2 IM from the C8 can be obtained for $200 and is a direct swap for the LT1. You can even run...
You didn’t need to give a response to your detractors. Most people don’t realize a college degree is not required to make 6 figures and you can easily make that figure by 21. Congrats to you. A good friend of mine went into welding right after highschool and was easily clearing 6...
It depends on the interest rate you’re offered. If the interest rate you’re offered is close to zero such as 1.49% APR and you’re the type that invests your money (Stock market, personal business, etc), it’s wiser to give a low down payment unless you don’t think you can beat 1.49% APR.
Out of curiosity, which model did you and your wife test drive? From 2015-2017, I regularly traveled with my job and rented countless 5.7L and 6.4L Challengers. While I obviously liked the 6.4L Scatpack more, I thought the 5.7L was still a fun practical vehicle that handled well for its size. I...
Thanks for pointing that out.:giggle:
Not only does the sun visor not block any sun nor have a cover for the mirror, you can barely see out the front window with it down. It serves zero purpose.
There’s no question the Mustang is a better daily driver. It’s the best compromise sports car on the market and I don’t mean that as a negative to the Mustang. It’s the reason the Mustang is the market sells leader. Ie Sporty sitting position but not too low to the ground. While it was obvious...
I beat the ever hell out of the MT-82 in my 2016 for almost 5 years and 100,000 miles, didn’t have a single issue with it. If you like the vehicle, get it.
I read the other day the Camaro will soldier on until 2026 with one more mild refresh in the works. Perhaps a 7th gen is a possibility. Either way, I do know the world is a better place with the big 3 offering the Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger imo.
I agree, I owned a 2016 GT for 5 years. While I like the design of the Camaro, I prefer the design of the S550. Look wise and especially with functionality. Things like the worthless sunvisor where I think wtf were the GM designers thinking. No cover for the mirror but the clincher, it doesn’t...
I agree, the combination of the LT1 front and convertible sold me. I was a fan of the non-SS front the moment it was released to the public summer 2018. A 4 of 6 cylinder was a non-starter for me though. The LT1 model was the answer for me as I’ve never been a fan of the SS. The 2020 “SS update”...
Here’s some more pictures of the interior. Outside of the upgraded Ricaro seats, this is the base Camaro interior. It’s as nice as a Ford Fusion or Chevy Malibu, nothing spectacular but not as bad as some make it out to be.
I thought disabling the 1 to 4 skip shift requirement would have been...
You are definitely in the minority with not liking the rearview camera mirror. I found it to be one of the most useful options with the Camaro. It does take a day or so for your eyes to adjust to it in the same way if you wear glasses for a year and decide to wear contact lenses.
There’s many options. It’s the first thing I did with my 2021. After a week, I quickly came to the conclusion I would never like the stock shifter. A $70 fix.
I went from a 2016 Mustang GT to a 2021 Camaro LT1. I loved the Mustang, zero complaints but I was ready for something new after 5 years of ownership and the 2021 Mustang GT was too similar to my 2016 while looking less attractive IMO.
