I have the Jaeger Brother's splash guards. Installation is easy, they look good (resemble the factory built-in rear splash guards) and seem to be staying put. They provide the necessary amount of protection without sticking out too far. A little pricey, but a solid product.
The clutch's engagement point is not causing me any drivability issues, but I agree that its weighting is too light for such a car - it's a GT350, not a Fiesta. I find that the shifter, however, is pretty good for a stock unit. It feels shorter and more precise than the C7's. Shift effort is...
Thanks. Considering the number of posts about the strong clutch assist spring, I thought that it may have something to do with it. Actually, depending on how my foot is positioned on the clutch pedal, affects how much vibration I feel. Closer to the top the foot, where it's likely more...
Absolutely not. I never ride the clutch. I've been driving manual transmissions for over 30 years and I've never had a clutch replaced due to abuse. In general, I'm not hard on a car at all.
Has anyone felt a bit of vibration in the clutch pedal while shifting? Sometimes I feel a bit of vibration or tingle in the pedal when it's at the end of its travel (i.e. pedal is near or at the floor). I notice it most often when shifting into upper gears below 3K rpm. Could it be some VooDoo...
No, not replacing now. I just got the car. I was just curious coming out of the Corvette. BTW, I like driving the GT350 much more. It's got a lot more character.
If I could get 20k miles out of them, that would be great. The Corvette's front inside tread was well under 2/32 at 14k relatively easy, daily driven miles. I'm all for performance, but geez. These hi-per summer tires don't have much meat on them, that's for sure. Wouldn't be a big deal if they...
Thanks. I don't get excessive tramlining on the factory alignment, but it is noticeable. My GT350 is a daily driver, so I was curious about the tire wear. My old C7 Z51's somewhat aggressive factory alignment wore the front tires at a much quicker rate than the rears, which had less toe-in...
Older thread, but I have an alignment question. If the car is running factory alignment settings, and assuming they're within spec, how is it with regards to tire life? Driving somewhat normally with some spirited running thrown in, can we expect decent mileage out of the tires? TIA.
My GT350 excites me in a way my prior C7 Z51 never did. Why? Because the GT350 not only has great performance, but even more important for street driving, it has character. It truly does feel special, even when driven slowly. Not many modern sports cars give you the tingles at normal road...
The GT350's exhaust sounds great to me. It has a bit of what some may call a raspy tone, but I don't find it displeasing or annoying. If anything, I think it adds to the experience. I haven't heard a resonator-less GT350R, though.
I remember well enough, I'm not that old. lol. I had a '97 GT Convertible. I wouldn't say it had outstanding build quality, but the metallic red paint had a nice even finish and there were no runs, and the panel gaps were good. The interior wasn't as nice as the new one, of course, but it...
