Good episode, I thought they gave a very fair/honest review (as always). Though these two cars are not built for quite the same purpose or person, it was still an interesting comparison. Yes, a GT350 vs ZL1 would have been a better matchup, but the outcome would likely have been the same.
I thought I'd post an update. The car has about 3K miles on it now, and over the last 500 to 1K miles, the clutch pedal vibration issue has improved significantly. It's not perfectly smooth 100% of the time, but it's a lot more tolerable, now.
I have about 2700 miles. Mostly normal driving with some spirited thrown in. Mine is currently at the top of the hash marks. It started out full (i.e. at or slightly above the top hole) and I havenāt added any. Seems like reasonable consumption for this kind of engine.
I strongly considered both the ZL1 and GT350. I like both cars, though they certainly have their own pluses and minuses. Had I found an M6 ZL1 in the right spec, I may have gone that way since Iāve never had a car with a blower motor. However, I was well aware that the GT350 would be easier to...
My carās rear bumper (July ā17 build) was set pretty well too, but it has dropped noticeably in the 2k miles Iāve driven it. Itās not horrible, though. That said, the car is a dark color so the gap appears less than it would otherwise. At about 1/8'' at the very rear, the gap is about twice of...
If you want a specialty model, you pay more for it. Most of the time, itās worth it. A 991.2 GTS is likely not that far off the performance of a 991.1 GT3, but which one would most enthusiasts rather drive? The GTS looks and sounds good, and handles well, but not like a GT3. This doesnāt take...
Mine is a July ā17 build. The brake dust accumulation after only a few drives is pretty bad, and itās a fugly brown color which is quite noticeable on black. Armor all brake dust repellent works really well, but it doesnāt last in wet weather unfortunately.
I donāt see anything wrong with...
To some degree, Iāve experienced all of the issues youāve mentioned, except the squeal noise when the rpms fall. Iāve had cars that made weird drivetrain noises which never developed into a problem, other than getting on my nerves, of course. So, I wouldnāt be too concerned unless the squeal...
Well, the main pro is that you get to drive a GT350 every day. It has a special look, feel, sound, power-band, etc. I daily drive mine and, besides the Recaro seats' ingress/egress being a little challenging, I'm surprised at how easy it is to drive. The clutch/shifter weighting is light, as...
I received my owner's supplement yesterday. I wasn't aware we were getting anything, so it was a nice surprise. I've had my car about a month and a half. The flat plane crank model is great. I enjoyed the video, too.
I don't care for the GT-R's looks all that much - I typically don't like long hood, front mid-engine designs - but I respect its performance and build quality.
Believe me, I knew I wasnāt buying an appliance type commuter car or some watered down sports car. I expected and wanted some personality. But you know, certain personality traits just bother you for some reason. Overall, the car is fantastic and has a lot of character. I even like the mild...
Interesting. I hope it does improve over time. I thought about air in the system, but the pedal is not spongey at all and the bite point seems normal/consistent. Unfortunately, I don't have a vacuum pump (or the experience) to bleed the system. I didn't notice any pedal vibration for the...
An update on my car's clutch pedal feel.
The odometer passed 500 miles last week, so I've been running the car normally (i.e. over 4K rpm). Besides the original condition I described in the first post, I sometimes feel some buzz/vibration in the clutch pedal when shifting at mid-to-high rpm...
