considering the track key is available for the 2014 GT now, i'm sure Ford Racing will make it available for the new GT as well, I wouldn't be surprised to see one for the ecoboost either.
Hey, I'm in Starke, everybody from Jacksonville may know where in the middle of nowhere I am..
I'm down for a track meet, chances are I won't have an S550, but Hopefully I'll have my 93' notch's 5-lug disc brake swap done and be ready to stretch the ol' rat rods legs.
26, Ford Triple Master Tech; Gas, Diesel, Trans.
will have Senior Master status next month!
Moving to Charlotte, NC/Rock Hill, SC before my next mustang purchase.
That is usually a cap at the back of the handle that comes off to reveal the keyhole that you can use the blade in as already said.
but there is also a back up PATs pill inside the key fob that doesn't need battery power to function, it just needs to be within a few inches of the backup...
Ford recommends their Motorcraft Synthetic Blend on almost everything, it's a good oil that doesn't break the bank
but I wouldn't run the full 7,500-10K mile oil change interval the "oil minder" will allow regardless of what oil I used, Even with a lot of highway driving I prefer a full...
Engines with variable cam timing no longer use EGR, the build up is primarily caused from oil coming through the PCV/breather system, I blame lack luster oil separators that are installed from the factory.
Every intake I pull on a newer engine, I'm disappointed with how much oil their is...
Stuntman is right, IIRC from the Ecoboost engine class, there's usually a passive cooling loop for the turbo as well so that after the engine shuts down coolant will use good ol' "heat rises" to slowly circulate and prevent heat soak.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermoelectric_cooling
That will give you a more scientific understanding of how it works, it really does seem "voodoo" compared to traditional electric theories and methods of creating heat, but the plates are essentially electric heat pumps, no moving parts, no...
The seats are actually air conditioned, as a dealer tech, I've had to replace a few heating/cooling units in F-150 seats. They use a TEC or thermo electric cooling plate, the technology has been used in high power PC cooling for a while now.
Essentially there's a metal plate with two leads and...
Yup, I almost thought it was a Camaro on a passing glance on facebook.
With that said, after stopping and looking at it I do like it a lot, but I think the hood should be changed to something less "chevy".
2015 6.7L Super Duty is sharing the top slot of my want list with the S550. I'm waiting on driving the S550 and seeing what the well overdue Super Duty refresh will look like.
For me, it's not a truck or a mustang as an option. I will always have a truck for the practical reasons, the...
What's bothersome about it is that it seems to be some sort of poker game to Ford, to the point that it feels like dishonesty to us. It won't matter in the end so this is absolutely a waste of worry, I guess being open and up front with your customers is a luxury long gone in this world I suppose.
I've been lurking here for a long time, I've been watching the TMS forum for this car from the time the 5.0 was released and at this point I'm getting pretty irritated that Ford won't release any information even though it's most likely been nailed down for a while now. I've got my fingers...
