Do it. Sounds like fun. I’d add a good radiator like an Adler and a good heat exchanger like an Afco with dual electric fans. At the end of the day it’s just a Mustang and life is short
Nope. Mines not a daily, 4000 miles on a '15 but they were fun miles. I wondered if I could stop and I did at around 700 RWHP. Fun car for just cruising around and fairly quick when I want it to be.
Full ARH here. catless longtubes and H pipe. No drone, low tones, gets LOUD with throttle. Had it for 3 years, really wouldn't consider anything else. Pricey but the quality is all top shelf.
Mine is catless with an H pipe. Loud when I first put it on and louder now to the point where mine is going in for a bunch of upgrades in a month and I'm actually considering having some Kook's cats welded in to tone it down a bit. A friend and neighbor has a Supersnake with a full Kook's system...
Between these two better is purely subjective. When I bought the ARH cost a little more. These are also the only two I considered. I thought the ARH had a little deeper tone which is what I was after but it's likely a six of one half a dozen of another type thing. I also prefer an H over an X...
FI with 95 miles on the car. Would have done it sooner but had to drive it 90+ miles home from the dealer to put it on a trailer for transport for the install.
Headers will make a large difference in volume. I'm considering cats at this point because it is LOUD when you get on it. No drone whatsoever with the ARH stuff. Just a nice rumble at cruising speeds but if you want to play you will draw attention.
Bought one of the first ARH full systems for the 15. Still on there, no drone, very throaty at full throttle, lots of complements over the years. I've heard some other nice sounding systems but would do the same with no hesitation. Kind of pricey but it also allowed for me to put it on and...
I was one of the early "power adder" guys on the S550. Bought a 2015 and added a bunch of power with only 97 miles on the car then spent a full year chasing what I consider a sloppy rear IRS. First was lowering springs which actually made the car worse. I haven't updated my sig for a while but...
Lots. With labor probably the price of original car. It's okay to keep in a budget or have concern but considering parts and labor costs for car stuff if you dwell on it you may need to find a different hobby. The most fun is stuff that doesn't work as advertised or expensive things that break...
Full ARH system with catless LT's and H-pipe, Loudness 8, Drone 0. I answer the question 'what exhaust is that" all the time. Nice muscle car sound and great build quality and fit.
I've got Steeda sway bars as well and a bunch of BMR stuff to tighten up the IRS. Makes for a nice combination. I'm also running 400 lb rear springs with mine which I would only consider "moderately stiff." If you plan to do any serious auto crossing or track stuff you'll likely want to go to a...
Not sure about those. I do like my Ridetechs. Check them out while you're looking. Good price, good folks to work with. Made a real difference in the car. Give them a call and talk to Josh, he'll take care of you.
I should have been more blunt. If you start adding power you'll find the IRS is in no way prepared. More power, more problems. The more driveline stuff you add the more NVH you'll get. Just the nature of the beast. If you don't mind a little more noise (I dont) you can tighten them up really...
