First off, sorry that this happened. I can't imagine the frustration.
I see your dilemma here and there's no easy answer since you don't know how your neighbor is going to react. But at first, I'd point out the damage to your neighbor and tell them you want to keep the insurance out of...
I also looked into doing a harness w/o a roll bar, and it's not adviseable for many of the reasons, some of which are mentioned by others here. One of the things I also read about that is not mentioned yet is submarining, where you slip out under the harnesses, but this is if you decide not to...
My head would be absolutely spinning if I were in your shoes.. anyone who says you shouldn't be checking on your car is a nutbag, how the heck could you not be? The anticipation must be killing you! Hell, we have people here that couldn't stand the wait so bad that they went out and bought...
And it's not even an R! Imagine how much faster he could have been going in an R! (Sorry for the sarcasm).
Or even better yet, in a base R less 60 lbs as the R was intended! (Now I'm over the line? LOL).
Great shot! I still believe that lap times are 99% driver when it comes to R vs...
I think those dead set on a base car are doing it for bragging rights at car shows more than purpose at the track as 99% of the guys that buy them will never see the actual benefit of having that option. How much weight does it really save anyways? If the AC is off the pully has no drag on the...
I believe you. :) But we were somehow talking about the Cayman GTS as far as Porsche's go.
But now that we're on the subject, I think it's great that the Mustang GT350R is compared to the best GT3 cars of the past. ;)
Why was Porsche even inserted into this thread? The OP was asking about Corvette vs GT350.
Oh wait, it's just another Porsche owner trolling the GT350 threads about how much better their car is.
The Porsche has no soul compared to the GT350/R. [end of "debate"]
If anything, sometimes it's just nice to switch things up every couple of years and have a new experience.
The fact that you're considering trading your C7 for the GT350 tells me that you may be ready. There's a reason everyone loves the GT350 and GT350R, it's a unique experience with the...
I am not surprised your car sold fast! I know I would pay more for a good, no stories car that I knew was taken care of.
I would feel nervous buying a used car like this off a big used lot, such as carmax, especially if it's been sitting for a while.
I hate to say this, but I just don't see them getting any cheaper than the ones in the ebay auction. There is a definitive cost to upgrading to these wheels, and the best way to get them at the best price is to buy the R with them. ;)
I shopped upgrading my Non-R with wheels, wing, etc...
In order to better serve the community, I think a few R owners here would like to know which dealer is offering a strong trade value... some other people here may want to to do it.
And I'm being serious.
Good for you for finding a dealer that will give you $70K on a trade! As an R owner, I would say that's a strong offer, what is that, about $2K over sticker? And if you are in a state where you get the tax value on your trade, you are doing extremely well then (If it's 6% you're at $74,200 in...
This was a great deal for someone, thanks for offering it up!
I am somewhat surprised how many R's I see on ebay and Autotrader for well over MSRP with like 3,000 or even 5,000+ miles on them! Who the hell is buying a 2016 or even 2017 R with 6K miles on it right now for over MSRP? If they...
When I had my GT350, tramlining was not an issue, are you saying you have significant tramlining in yours with stock tires? I didn't notice any tramlining until I bought my R, and to me it's minor and a product of running CUP2 tires.
The modern Porsche's I've driven didn't have the same driver experience I get with my R, starting with the sounds of a FPC V8 vs a V4 Turbo and expanding from there. Numb feeling driveline on the road/track. I guess I'm partial since I'm here in a Mustang forum in a GT350 thread? ;)
The...
Ford's ridiculous business practices with production of special vehicles (my opinion). So when people were paying $10K over for a GT350 and $20K over for an R, why didn't ford pump out more to meet demand? They certainly could have! Now that demand is suffering, they're going to continue to...
