  1. GEN 5 whipple 60-130 dragy ?

What do you mean exactly by "hits a wall"? I know what the saying means, but besides being slower are you noticing something else? I actually swapped to Wengerd while the DA was about +3000ft and hit some 60-130s while datalogging for him. I saw a best time of 6.0 in the datalogs (not dragy...
  2. GEN 5 whipple 60-130 dragy ?

That is flyyyyying! What's the DA like there in the summer? I had some +3000 days which is a crazy swing in the other direction!
  3. GEN 5 whipple 60-130 dragy ?

It's boost season INDEED lol. 5.29 on e30 with 3.875" pulley and all seasons. What a time to be alive! Speaking of all seasons, I'm hit or miss on traction but more on the "hit" side. Sometimes I gotta bail out of the run at these cold temps.
  4. Strategies to avoid windshield rock chips

I had a friggin acorn drop off a tree while I drove past it, left a nice small chip in my windshield. It's just going to happen if you actually drive the car. My windshield is only a year or two old after having it replaced and it's got small little nicks all over it. But yeah, giving plenty...
  5. GEN 5 whipple 60-130 dragy ?

Just ran a healthy 5.78 today. Finally a legit sub 6 run! Just a Gen 5 Whipple on the 3.875" pulley w/ E30 in the tank. Of course, the negative DA doesn't hurt 😉 I did also go 6.00 at 1000ft DA but all I've wanted was a damn sub 6 run lol.
  6. Wengerd Is the King for Tuning!!

Just curious, what was the density altitude? I'm about 100whp less and my best dragy run, at 700ft DA I believe, is 6.00. I'm finally seeing 5.8-5.9 runs at slightly negative DAs but only so far through datalogs. Haven't busted out the dragy again but I'm trying to finally nail an official sub...
  7. Lund tune bugging me

I have the nGauge, still use it for datalogging actually 😁 I also have the RTD+ but don't really want to lug a laptop around. Anyway, the nGauge does give Fuel Percent readout so I could use that. But things like weather, roads, driving manners, can influence the results. If being anal about...
  8. Lund tune bugging me

I could compare MPG between Lund and Wengerd since I have both of their tunes, but I don't know what would be sufficient for accuracy purposes. PS The only WOT complaint I'd make about Lund is performance is not consistent when roll racing, and after extensive datalogging this *seems* to be...
  9. I HATE the stance of my car….

Yeah the specs are here: https://lmr.com/item/VEL-VFC52011GB/velgen-mustang-classic5-v2-wheel-20x11-gloss-black-05-21 You can find the 20x10 size there too. I tried 275/40/20 for the fronts actually, not 285. Dropping from 40 to 35 in sidewall was just the right amount I needed.
  10. I HATE the stance of my car….

Here's my car as something to consider for stance. Could literally not fit any more tire without rubbing. Ask me how I know! Suspension / Wheels / Tires in sig
  11. Steeda Stop The Hop Starter Kit Your Thoughts?

I think in my case it depends on the weather but to be fair I had my shop drive the car and they don't seem to hear a thing or claim whatever they do hear is normal. But I never really notice it much either. I did notice after putting my all seasons back on at certain speeds I can hear a...
  12. Steeda Stop The Hop Starter Kit Your Thoughts?

I have the entire STH kit along with springs and struts. I'm very happy with the handling, and there's absolutely no more hop which I did used to get when I was stock. It makes me feel more confident in controlling the power, whether that means the car will stay planted and just go, or I can far...
  13. Lund tune bugging me

That is exactly what I was told when I provided datalogs of my part throttle driving experience. My problem was interesting. Because of the surging and bucking, I tried to be very gentle with the gas. But this put me in a scenario where I'd end up in a very high gear for the speed I was...
  14. SUPERCHARGER KIT? what else do I need?

From my experience in having my shift points raised to 7800, the more serious concern seems to be in accidentally bouncing off the higher rev limiter itself and less important is what RPM you are shifting at. The tune might be set to shift at 7800, but in the real world you may see the motor...
  15. SUPERCHARGER KIT? what else do I need?

I've been fine with the stock OPGs for over 10k miles, and have done countless pulls to 7800. Made just under 700whp. I think Cordero's "Yes, No, Maybe" is the most accurate answer after everything I've read on here too.
  16. Lund tune bugging me

I agree. Dakota is pretty thorough too. I asked him to give me the gear indicator full time as part of my request, and he didn't miss that for example. Also an interesting observation I made between Dakota and Alex is the size of their tune files. Dakota's were about 2.8MB while Alex's are...
  17. Lund tune bugging me

I switched from Lund to Wengerd and have hit the same 60-130 but with an extra 2000ft DA, have more *consistency* from run to run (this is a big deal, imagine going from 6.0 to 6.8 just minutes apart...), and the drivability is far superior. My main reason for switching was surging and bucking...
  18. Traction issues (AGAIN) after storing tires indoors

I swear my rear end yanked sideways! I always drive with traction and stability fully off, so it's not that. To give a more clear explanation of the situation, what I was experiencing was mild wheelspin on immediate hits of the throttle that quickly and obviously turned into much faster...
  19. Traction issues (AGAIN) after storing tires indoors

Yea thats fine, I might try the more aggressive one again just to be thorough in verifying my tires didn't somehow get grippier after all this testing. But if I still can't grip, then that'll have to wait til next year
  20. Traction issues (AGAIN) after storing tires indoors

You know, this is some stupid funny advertising for Wengerd. Imagine being so bumblef*cked why your tires can't grip anymore, turns out the root cause was swapping from Lund to Wengerd 😂 This is actually a cool idea to test them back to back! Would it be a more fair comparison to use Wengerd's...
