  1. Lund E85R tune > "Not Ready" status on annual inspection

Rather than start a new thread, I thought I'd just add on to this one. So I'm no longer on the E85 Lund Tune, but the situation is still the same - using a "stock" tune, or "emissions" tune is still the way (obviously) to pass emissions. So I am still running 93 on Whipple with a Wengerd tune...
  2. ESS G3X 60-130 seems slow compared to everyone else's with same/similar mods.

Yep lol my best 60-130 in over -2000ft DA is under 5.3, but in positive DA I am somewhere around 6.0 or low 6s depending how bad the DA is.
  3. Ideal tire height for roll race -- go taller?

Ok I set cruise to 65MPH 1. nGauge read out 64MPH consistently 2. GPS mostly read 66MPH, sometimes 65MPH 3. Speedo was a steady 65MPH
  4. Ideal tire height for roll race -- go taller?

When I get a chance I'll double check my speedometer vs velocity PID vs GPS. I am pretty sure putting in the true tire size gets one of the two readings to match GPS, I just forget which. I may have put these findings earlier in this thread but it'll just be easier to do it again lol
  5. Ideal tire height for roll race -- go taller?

I'm sure it's the rear wheel doing the speedometer, easy way to tell is when it snows give it some gas and see what happens haha. But yes even when datalogging my car, I've seen the velocity PID will spike if you lose traction. On a similar note, after switching to Wengerd I noticed I had...
  6. Ideal tire height for roll race -- go taller?

Looking back on this a year later after this got bumped, the taller tires were 100% the move to make. The weirdness i saw last year from 70-100 in the dragy runs appear to be a bug that doesn't always occur. The chart would sometimes show acceleration fall flat, then curve back up to "catch...
  7. Wengerd Is the King for Tuning!!

I dont have enough skin in the game to know if the throttle blade approach is worse than the boost valve approach. Curious either way how this goes!
  8. Wengerd Is the King for Tuning!!

He might know how to do it for all we know, but most people would probably never think to ask for it. I would imagine the usual mindset would be focused on better tires, than solving traction at the software level. I would 100% pay Wengerd for a revision if he could help me regain WOT in 1st...
  9. Wengerd Is the King for Tuning!!

Either way, could you reply back how it goes if you ask him? I never considered asking Wengerd, but given my setup it would be nice to have stockish power in 1st and 2nd gear, then have full power 3rd gear and beyond. Probably makes more sense to get stickier tires but I've just been living...
  10. Wengerd Is the King for Tuning!!

I remember when I was in the process of going from dyno tune to remote tune and I relocated my IAT before getting my remote tune to flash. The net effect was I could redline the car, but the throttle (ETC_ACT) was limited to an extremely low value. It was the strangest feeling, to have a...
  11. Wengerd Is the King for Tuning!!

Go to Wengerd, I promise you it is well worth the money and he will take good care of you.
  12. GEN 5 whipple 60-130 dragy ?

I made just under 700whp on a mustang dyno with boostane on the Lund Tune I mention that because going from 700 to 850 might make it tough to grip with the AS4s, I'm not sure! But what i can tell you from experience is I find the 315/35/20 to grip better than the 325/30/19. The summer PS4S...
  13. All Season Tire Options

Yeah it still bogged on the 1-2 shift but I went full send all the way so it wasn't too bad for the conditions!
  14. All Season Tire Options

This was in mid to high 40s, if I can find one in the 30s I'll post it but this was years ago lol
  15. All Season Tire Options

Specifically answering for cold temps ( in the 30s) ... and with Michelin AS4s (275/40/19 square I think, I cant remember right now if I ran wider than that when I was "stock"). When I was stock (just Lund E85 tune) .. I believe I could launch 1st gear from a dead stop without feathering the...
  16. All Season Tire Options

I swear it's true! 😁 I think it's a combo of my suspension mods, 3.15, and starting in 3rd gear that make that possible. Edit: Also -- I'm running wide AND tall ... 315/35/20 (28.7"), and 27-28psi cold. It takes time to get the A10 warmed up in the winter, so by the time I've warmed up the A10...
  17. GEN 5 whipple 60-130 dragy ?

Jesus that is a long gear! Lol
  18. ESS Supercharger on My Mach 1

Adding on to the 10R80 longevity .. mines at 42K so far with 10K with the Whipple. I DID have a scare back in the summer where one of the solenoids seemed to have issues, causing a very bad 4-5 flare. Thread...
  19. ESS Supercharger on My Mach 1

Is the 5W50 oil requirement just an ESS thing or would that apply for Whipple too? I noticed weird VVT issues (weird idle, codes for failure to advance/retard timing, knock PID flatlining at 0) that persisted consistently on and off with 5W30 that have completely gone away for months now after...
  20. GEN 5 whipple 60-130 dragy ?

Michelin Pilot Sport AS4s in size 315/35/20. But this is in 3rd gear on an A10 with 3.15 rear gearing. AdvanceTrac off just goes to show how amazing these tires really are!! I can grip partial throttle really well in 2nd gear. Since I'm hit or miss in holding 3rd gear I'm sure going flat out in...
