To be fair I hated the 2018 until i saw it in person. Once i walked by the performance pack version at the dealer I just had to have it. Now i catch myself staring at mine as i walk away from it every day. If i could buy another GT500 I definitely would and if i find a reasonably priced used 19...
Dope. Haters everywhere. Everyone saying they dont like it will buy a used one in two years. Just like everyone hated the 2018 and now they are everywhere. Wait until you see the thing in person. These pictures don't even come close to doing this car justice.
that is not the gt500. ford produces a supercharger for the normal mustang GT engine. They are just saying that it will be available later. These cars are from Shelby America and are not factory ford vehicles.
interesting that he had the fastest time there in stock trim. He's obviously an experienced driver. i have no doubt that the car is fast. I love mine much more than the 2011 GT500 that I had before. But i agree that it needs a few things to be a real track car that is used primarily to turn...
Could be the connection to the gas pedal since it is throttle by wire. Most of these cars that get engines swaps come with an installation pack from ford. Like this one. https://www.americanmuscle.com/ford-performance-coyote-50l-4v-crate-engine-control-pack-automatic-transmission-1517.html
test drive them! my personal preference in the PP. not only for the looks and better brakes but just the idea that i have a car than i can generally do anything with. drag race, a little track work, cone tracks, street fun. whatever.
depends on what you want. I think for street fun the 3.55 is the way to go. I love the peppy feel of the car during daily driving. It seems that most of the higher end N/A quarter mile guys are putting even higher gearing in their cars to keep in the power band. I think that steeda said they had...
They would have to be able to prove that the aftermarket parts were to blame for the failure. They would have to be able to point out that the tune etc were the cause and show the proof. If a factory part failed and caused it then they would still have to fix it under warranty.
i've only put 300 miles on it since new. But i feel like a PP1 car with magnaride would be pretty equivalent to a s197 with a few suspension mods. something like a sway bar, springed, watts linked car. In track mod they are very capable with low body roll.
I enjoyed my Gt500 quite a bit for the first few years but the newer cars are far more advanced. Better brakes, better suspension, better motor, better trans, and no more live axle.
yeah not interested in the GT500 other than for eye candy. I would love to have one but i have a baby on the way and wouldn't have picked one up for several years into the used market. If i had a 2013-14 GT500, and was in the same position, i may have kept the GT500 but my 11 was aging quickly...
i agree with the homies. Go to another dealer. If they want to drive their brand new cars and add miles to them that's on them. Sounds like someone joy rided it to me
It actually doesn’t feel any slower at all. With the 10 speed auto and 3.55 gears in it, it felt about the same as driving the gt500 arouns town since it was out of boost most of the time. Highway passing speeds may be slower but this car is much more hooked than my gt500 was. Hitting the gas in...
Indeed. The test drive sold me. Once i let it loose in sport mode. I knew i’d buy if the deal was right.
The car is shadow black. PP1, magnetic ride, active exhaust and premium.
