GT350s have very recently begun to be delivered and there are unsold units in the hands of retailers looking for a home. What would possibly make you think that "many won't have the opportunity to get one". You could take delivery of yours tomorrow if you so desired. Keep it real.
Well understood here. You are right about the sound and it is to die for. The majority of these cars will spend little or no time at all on a race track. A gear change will really help with the low end grunt. Probably not that big of a deal.
I look forward to owning a GT30 and understand exactly what I am buying. I really doubt that anyone who is interested in this car is drawn to its "tame" manners in the lower rpm ranges. Honestly Dude, how many of us are buying these cars to drive in bad weather? Get real.
Spot on post from a guy who can see through all the fanboy hype and nonsense. The GT350 and Camaro SS are both very capable performance cars. That is really not a debatable fact. One glimpse of the GT350s torque plot and a person with some performance knowledge knew that the sub 3500 rpm zone...
Seriously? OK, we get the road course thing already. 0-60 and 1/4 mile are and have been the gold standards of performance comparisons since the 1950s whether you believe it or not. Hard to imagine anyone who has a genuine interest in performance/sports cars is ignorant of that fact. Sounds like...
Yeah, who gives a crap! 1/4 mile ET and trap are the most important metrics of a performance vehicle and have been for many decades. You are clueless my Man.
This is all so reminiscent of the GT500s first year. Experts weighing in right and left about "allocations", "limited production", "2 year run", blah, blah, blah. Eight model years, 50,000 cars later and the experts are at it again. Gotta love these guys!
We get that. Not to tough to figure out. They won't need to build that many 60 or 70 thousand dollar road course oriented Mustangs. First year of the next GT500 will see strong 1st and 2nd year sales because it will appeal to a much larger audience. It would as stated in an earlier post be...
Not really the point. The GT350 doesn't get on its cam until it is over 3500(look at the torque curve) which is out of the range where the engine operates 99% of the time. Its a cool car for sure but not really what most Mustangers want or look for. Should be no problem at selling 5,000 units...
A rear end gear change would help the GT350 down low where it really appears to fall short on torque. The Camaro comes out of the box with big balls down low which is what the majority of Pony Car buyers are looking for.
That is a strange attitude. obviously the thought of a higher horsepower GT500 distresses you. Weird indeed. I don't know a single Mustang guy who isn't anxiously awaiting the next top dog GT500. Why would you need a Ford employee to tell you what is next? Use your head. The Camaro is mid 600s...
Really? Seems like more than a few here agree with me. Looks like you are the one with the busted balls. Possibly it is you that should be punching that "log out" tab!
The OP ends his posts by stating that this situation is unbelievable. I have watched numerous difference forums over the past decade and have seen reports of this scenario more times than I can remember. This gross, selfish behavior by the retailer is absolutely commonplace . You simply cannot...
Oh Yeah, never really was any doubt about that one. The 350 is cool and all but not the answer in the ongoing Pony Car wars. Look for a next generation GT500 that runs 11 flat or better out of the box. Bleak future for the 350 once that beast hits the streets.
Simply amazing how cocky some of these punks who work in car dealerships can be. Sounds like the public was overwhelming their place of business with only a $50,000 rear ending. This tells you that these guys would hammer you at every possible juncture and opportunity. No one in their right mind...
