  1. GT500 Valve Cover Install

Kudos to Levittown for responding to my emails on a Sunday. They said it is a manufacturing issue with no solution at present time. They also sent me return label so I can return these. I ordered from Summit in Arlington and will go pick them up tomorrow so I can put eyes on them before I...
  2. bolt stripped.

My son's 2015 has four studs (2 on each side) that are stripped/unusable. I saw where someone said that they are tack welded on the bottom side. Can anyone confirm? I'm thinking about knocking them out and replacing. Any thoughts on the process? Cut them off flush and then use a punch?
  3. GT500 Valve Cover Install

I have heard them referenced on here as "GT 500" cam covers, like the Title of this thread. The car I'm putting them on is a 2015 GT Premium
  4. GT500 Valve Cover Install

I ordered M-6067-M52S Which is what every site lists and whose images don't have the extra port, even on Levittown's website. From Levittown' website: Part Number: M-6067-M52S
  5. Gen 2 Coyote Repair and Maintenance Plans

They arrived Thursday evening. When I contacted Levittown about expected shipping on Monday they said they had received 30 sets and that mine would ship that day, which they did. Makes me wonder about the other 29 sets. I guess anyone that has ordered from these from them should double check...
  6. Gen 2 Coyote Repair and Maintenance Plans

Yeah, that was me that posted. I just saw it a few minutes ago. I'm gonna call Levittown Monday and give them 2 options: 1. Overnight the correct ones along with a prepaid return shipping label. 2. Full refund and prepaid return label. (I'll order from a supplier that can ship soon) Wish me...
  7. GT500 Valve Cover Install

Well I'll be damned. Guess I'll get with Levittown on the correct part. Thanks for the input.
  8. Gen 2 Coyote Repair and Maintenance Plans

After looking around the internet at various suppliers including Levittown Ford where I got the covers, non of them show the mystery hole in the images. My packing slip, invoice etc... even the box it was shipped in all show Part number M-6067-M52S so now I'm really stumped.
  9. Gen 2 Coyote Repair and Maintenance Plans

Cam covers came in yesterday and I got them installed this afternoon. Tomorrow I plan on installing the repaired intake and putting everything else back on. One issue I have, is that the new passenger side cover has a hole/bung on the that the original plastic one doesn't. I think it is for...
  10. GT500 Valve Cover Install

Yes, drivers side. Thanks for offering to check. As far as I know, I ordered the same part # as everyone else. I emailed Levittown Ford for a possible plug. I double checked my box to see if one was included and didn't find one. I guess I'll triple check. I did find out the the new...
  11. GT500 Valve Cover Install

Okay since you replied to me earlier, I have an issue. Did your drivers side cover have this hole? I think it is for an oil catch can. I need to find a plug for it as my plastic stock covers didn't have this. TIA
  12. 2016 mustang gt I want to repair the intake manifold

I am pretty sure Gen 2 replacement intakes are available (pretty pricey @800-900) and I think I read that the issue (weak bar) has been addressed, but this is my son's car and he is overseas and I didn't want to spend that kind of money unless I absolutely had to. I think with any other intake...
  13. 2016 mustang gt I want to repair the intake manifold

You can fix it for minimal cost. I just did mine not too long ago. I haven't installed it yet because I'm doing some other work and waiting on new valve/cam covers. If your valve/cam covers are leaking now is a good time to upgrade since the intake will be out of the way. Check out my...
  14. Gen 2 Coyote Repair and Maintenance Plans

As of now, I am just waiting on the aluminum cam covers to arrive to button it all back together. Got the new belt tensioner and serpentine belt on as well as the lower rad. hose and the new oil cooler lines connected.
  15. Gen 2 Coyote Repair and Maintenance Plans

This weekend I got the AC belt, water pump and thermostat housing installed. Also added a new idler pulley. I had to clearance the drivers side heater hose pipe (that mounts to the top of the water pump) to clear a stud at the top of the head. Damn engineers. Today I got a new tensioner and...
  16. Gen 2 Coyote Repair and Maintenance Plans

I got the manifold repaired. Just have to add a little dab of RTV the front end of the manifold where the end of the shaft sits. I used Turn Bull Garages youtube for guidance and did a few things different. Once I got the assembly apart, I used a 1/4 drive screw driver on the broken end to...
  17. Gen 2 Coyote Repair and Maintenance Plans

Yesterday I got the water pump off, new heater hoses connected to the heater core and cleaned up the thermostat housing. I noticed the idler pulley and tensioner pulley were noisy, so I have those on order. Today I got the drivers side valve cover off and there were 3 of the 4 spark plug tube...
  18. Gen 2 Coyote Repair and Maintenance Plans

Well I got the manifold off and the rod is broken in the on the drivers side. I also replaced the coolant lines to the oil filter housing. Tomorrow I'll remove the valve covers and check for warpage. I'll probably also do the belts, water pump, lower rad hose and heater hoses.
  19. Gen 2 Coyote Repair and Maintenance Plans

This weekend I plan on starting some repair and maintenance to my son's 2015. I am pretty sure it has the broken IMRC shaft on the drivers side. While I have the intake off I plan on also doing the following: Replace the gaskets and add missing bolts to the leaking valve covers (If they are...
  20. Heated / Cooled seats stopped working - no more "click" - can't find the relay

Yesterday I did this repair with the help of this thread and this youtube on how to de-pin the connector: This made it to where I only had make 2 crimp connections. Be aware the the locking piece in the connector might be melted in place requiring some extra effort to get the original apart...
