It’ll be interesting for sure to get more details - they haven’t announced the power numbers yet. That said, S650 is dual intake - that’s gotta be great! Another BIG question: Can you wait for 2024? They say “taking orders in summer 2023” I believe. We’ve recently seen how build/deliveries are...
So sounds like the FJG has Handling Pack and your EG didn’t? Biggest diff there affecting driving is the huge Cup 2 tires - they don’t have treads (they’re for Track use)
[update] just received email from Ford saying “your vehicle has shipped”… kinda seems like they were waiting to see if RR strike would be resolved before sending shipping notifications - and bonus - apparently my vehicle wasn’t stolen.
I went to my dealer today to check on details (Ford had sent me email that car was built 9/12). Dealer guy checked computer and it agreed… It’s still “in factory” (I didn’t mention to him that it could have been stolen yesterday). Shipping: 9/28-10/04, destination Bay Area. He told me their...
I wouldn’t think it would affect immediate outgoing deliveries as long as “convoy” has no rail connection”. (I’m west coast Union Pacific rail) However everyone will soon be impacted. No doubt Ford and all major manufacturers depend on rail for parts and some raw material. Perhaps you’ll just...
(My Blend date 9/2) I sent a FP chat this morning (first time), asking for build status, but I haven’t received a reply yet. I’m wondering when last chance to get vehicles shipped out is - if Friday rail strike happens. Maybe they’re being tight lipped and planning for that grim possibility...
Yes, for that reason I’m guessing: if some parts are not available on blend-date, then probably nothing happens until ALL parts become available — all or nothing. The line can’t be held up by builds “waiting for parts” And they would not store partially built vehicles, and then reinsert them...
How long did it take once built to deliver to dealer? My build is underway but fear delivery to Bay Area by rail will take a while and was told by a local dealer that cars arrive to large holding facility (lot) in North Bay and can sit for weeks before trucked to dealers.
Yep, found it today.. HP FJG — my non-HP is being built ~now. I did talk to one of Frontier’s salesman and he said something interesting.. apparently autos shipped to them by rail often (always?) end up unloaded somewhere in North Bay (Benicia maybe) and sit there in queue for 6-8 weeks before...
I’m right behind you - Blend date 9/2.
Wondering when it will arrive. It’s being shipped to California Bay Area… too busy and traveling late September. Maybe it’ll be here while I’m not? (But I’m betting on October). When I do pickup, it’s a 15 min drive
