Right now my plans basically just got thrown out. Car was hit this morning, cosmetic damage, but I'm just gonna start piling money back after I get it repaired to get out from under it and into something else.
But to answer your question directly, it was going to be a simply bottom end, but...
Given that when I go to the track usually a good 20 or so local s550's do as well. I ran 12.67 which for what I have done on pump gas is great. It's 1 full second off my stock time of 13.64 just about. But the average modded GT that night was running 12.20's on pump gas and street tires. Any one...
Good comparison. Definitely varies based upon where people live for sure. I found a GT under 28 new near me. And I was damn tempted to sell everything off my car and trade in for it for sure. But I decided against it. I still have a lot more to learn on my car and have enjoyed the experience...
I've had to do this process twice. As already said as long as the gap is between .026 and .028 you'll be fine. I actually just swapped out my first set of NGK's after about 15k miles. They held up great, got a lot of good solid passes on em during that time frame.
Not to mention these tuners like Lund and Adam can tune the car to shift at the desired RPM as well. Are you revving the car higher now with the built motor than you were on the stocker?
I would just love to see a video of a car street driving with one of these. And do a pull from say 2500 or 3000rpm on up to redline. Just want to see how quick it gets into boost in a video vs a dyno graph.
The intercooler will act the same way yes. The car will not. The bigger intercooler will cause a pressure drop if the car has not been tuned for it, I lost about 2psi when I installed mine.
Do you monitor your charge temps? I've no idea if you have an accessport or NGauge to know if you do. I'm guessing you don't though based upon this answer. If you did you would see that you can make a full pull in say 3rd gear from 3000rpm to 6000 and your charge temps would start to go up. This...
Only way I see running a square set up with GTPP wheels is to either run a 9.5 rear GTPP up front with spacers. Or get a square se of the 19x10 replicas as apparently they fit up front no spacers needed due to the offsets.
I've been running a Level's Street Core intercooler for about a year or just shy of it. The install really was straight forward and easy. Just remove the bumper, the grill shutters, swap intercoolers, and reverse the process. I would recommend yes you would need a retune as there will be some...
So I did not at all go into this past weekend looking to get some wheels as I had a dream set I was saving towards. But when a local guy offered to take my stock wheels plus a couple hundred bucks for these I said sure why not. I definitely did not want to do chrome on a silver car, but it truly...
