Funny you say that. Stock my TT G35 was around 23-24mpg, but I never understood why it got into the 30's after going twin turbo and adding 190whp.. maybe that is what it was. At the least this is a mod that could not hurt, I'll probably do it and report back on the results.
I know you guys are talking about tuning to water injection.. I have no intention to do so. Just something added to lower intake temps and improve octane a small amount.
Anyone consider it? I had it on my twin turbo G35 but never had it for an N/A application. I'm thinking about it for the cooler intake temperatures. My car feels noticeably more powerful versus the warmer days... and we haven't reached the summer yet.
After going to see that specific car in person I made the changes to my Track Pack that I liked in the R. (Red Calipers, removed resonators) but I wont see the track enough to justify the R premium.
The CF wheels would come off of it out of concern anyway.. I love the spoiler but I love the...
That is a general statement.. I went with the Track Pack originally because I wanted Magneride but retain Recaros and I didn't need all of the extras. I've seen a lot of Track Pack owners like myself where this isn't a daily driver but you're not at the track every weekend.
You guys are hardcore.. personally I couldn't put it up for the winter. I've reached a new level of love by checking the weekly forecast three times a day to determine when I can drive my car and get excited.
Imagine how difficult the stealerships are going to be now with these improvements in packaging and knowing the market demand. That will be a headache.
Thinking to myself *those mf'ers*
I would've liked to combine the track pack features with the tech pack.. oh well. I enjoy having it in my garage right now nonetheless.
This is my story. I went with the Track Pack expecting to go maybe once or twice a year, but to really enjoy what this car has to offer I will be looking at every track event I can manage.
No disrespect but I guess I was always 'that guy' but mainly because I remember asking people to rev because I genuinely wanted to hear it. I'm a car enthusiast and seeing it isn't enough, I gotta hear it.
I HATED the bluetooth in my Accord, I never used it whereas that is the only thing I use in my Shelby. I do miss 35mpg, and overall it was a cool car to have, the 6 speed was on par with the transmission in the GT350, hard to say which was better.
