What is the advantage of mounting the wastegate on the intercooler? Most of the guys i have seen are mounting on the hot pipe and not having to relocate the maf. I am curious because i want to wastegate my P1/S2 but i dont want to spend a ton of money doing it - as most of us...

Wow! I just read this whole thread! Great write up and follow up! Thank you so much for taking the time to post. I want to install a wastegate soon and all this information is invaluable to me. Ok, so did you move the vacuum line back to the PC Block?
So, it took me an hour to walk the belt back on and with all my attempts I ended up damaging 1 rib of the belt about an inch long. The belt is installed, should I replace it with a new one? I really don't want to mess with it unless I have to, thoughts?
Also, make sure the car is not on jack stands because the sway will get in the way of removing the pulley once you get the bolt off. The install manual says you might have to remove the sway bar bushings but since my car is not a PP I did not have to remove them since the car was on the ground...

It may be awhile, i was wanting to spend around $1000 originally and now it seems like for what i want the cost is a lot more than i anticipated.

Also, spin the motor 4 full revolutions using the crank bolt to make sure nothing is hitting anything (svt performance forums) - IMPORTANT.

Thanks. Questions about the fore setup... will both pumps operate at the same time? Which brand pumps for this setup and will they give off too much heat for daily use? Which fuel lines do not allow the fuel smell?
The fore has many options and I don't know what is good for what...
I think I got it, 1 full revolution (from 5 o'clock to 5 o'clock) and then turning it clockwise to 12 o'clock would be right back at the beginning of the 1st stroke per se.

I will be doing this soon also. On the color instructions page 14 it says to rotate the crank 1 full revolution and then rotate until the keyway is back at 12 o'clock and install RH timing chain. Explain to me how this doesn't throw it off time? I am confused. :confused:
I want some recommendations on a fuel system. I am considering going E-85 and I daily drive my mustang. I have seen the Fore systems and they have a lot of options but I am not sure what is good for my setup. I am open to any brand.
