  1. GT350 Media Event at Laguna Seca

Just from watching the video it looks like they ran a 1:39-1:40 lap time on their hot lap. That must have been in the base model and not the R. The R should be 1:35 or lower.
  2. GT350 Media Event at Laguna Seca

Great video from Laguna. Turn up the volume. [ame]
  3. GT350 exhaust question...

Yeah I already have Laguna Pipes for my 2011 GT that I use on the 90db days.
  4. GT350 exhaust question...

Thanks for the quick response. Follow on question to the folks that were at Laguna Seca... Any info on the db rating of the GT350? 92db, 95db, higher?
  5. GT350 exhaust question...

Hi All, I'm loving all the posts on the media/track tour at Laguna Seca and it has prompted a question regarding the adjustable exhaust. Sorry if this has already been covered. Question: Does the adjustable exhaust come with the GT350 and Track Pack or is it only on the GT350R model...
  6. New Product Release: aFe POWER Headers w/Catted Pipes for 2015 Mustang GT 5.0L

Sorry if I missed it, but what is the difference in weight of the stock headers vs. AFe?
  7. Auto Trans; I didn't know this did you?

Answering my own question... found this on the Ford site: The all-new Mustang serves up hot new technology designed specifically for you. Next time the track starts getting slick, just tap a toggle switch on the dash to adjust its Selectable Drive Modes. Choose from 4 modes: Normal...
  8. Auto Trans; I didn't know this did you?

    Perfect. Thanks for the reply.
  9. Auto Trans; I didn't know this did you?

While we're on the subject of automatics... does the S550 have "hill mode" available? I have this on my 2011 GT and it's great for the race track and around town when you want to stay in a gear longer on the upshift or downshift earlier when slowing down. It is engaged by pushing a button...
  10. GT350's at Moterery Historics; hot laps and some in-person impressions

Great post. Wish I was there to get some laps in the GT350. I was there on Monday for a track day and they still had their exhibit set up. Here are some photos. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10153042340776451.1073741826.702661450&type=1&l=aa2f0073f9

  12. Ford Mustang GT vs BMW m235I

I went from a 2005 Audi S4 to a 2011 s197 GT. The things I miss about the Audi are the interior and the rumble of the V8. That said, the new S550 has a much improved interior and a nice rumble. I put a Roush axleback exhaust on my car to get a good sound on it. I made the switch to the...
  13. Clint H procharer Insall!

Thanks. Looking forward to hearing how it drives for you. I'm planning to upgrade to a 2016 in the fall and the PC is one of the first mods on my list.
  14. Clint H procharer Insall!

Is that with the quiet gears or the regular ones?
  15. Took my ecoboost to the track, ran a 2:21

I tried Hawk DTC-70 pads and they were ok, but my last set has been the Carbotech XP24s. They have tremendous bite, don't overheat and last longer than the DTC-70s. The only issue is they take a little longer to heat up to operating temp.
  16. Took my ecoboost to the track, ran a 2:21

Seeing this video reminds me of a discussion I had at Laguna Seca a few weeks ago. The guy next to me had a Fox body track car, but he said he had 4 other Mustangs ( 3 muscle cars) and one of them was a brand new EB PP. He does not track the EB yet, but he may in the future. He did take...
  17. Took my ecoboost to the track, ran a 2:21

Nice passing. Love the late braking. Too bad your brakes gave out. Cooling and track pads will definitely help. Get some high temp brake fluid as well. You probably converted a few of the Porsche guys at the track to go take a look at Mustangs.
  18. Think this would be a nice adder to the Ecoboost

Two potential solutions for Ecoboost heat extraction... Option #1. Find a rental car company that has a 2015 Mustang GT that matches your car color. Rent the GT, swap the hood with your Ecoboost hood, drive the GT through several mud puddles and get is nice and dirty, return the car. They...
  19. Think this would be a nice adder to the Ecoboost

Great reply Glenn. Yes we need to extract the heat and improve the flow vs. pump more air in.
