My PP2 was only 2 hours labor. But, I also happen to like the look of the GT350 CAI.
And this was a big factor in my decision. It’s so smooth now, and great for a DD. The price differential was negligible between PP1 and PP2.
On a slightly different note, I got confirmation today from FP...
Yeah, I know about the Sygic update. It won’t do me any good, because it’s not CarPlay compatible only AppLink compatible. And they’ll be charging to enable it. There are too many good and free, or low cost, Nav solutions to worry about Sygic.
I also just updated to the Official 2.3 from the owner.ford.com website ... and I notice nothing changed. Perhaps it was just stability changes/fixes in prep for a 3.0 release?
I don't see how these minor changes make it 18K over what a comparable used GT. I suppose they're "somewhat" collectible, but then again, it's from a rental fleet and likely has had all abuse associated with the moniker.
It was a warm day in Dallas when I popped mine on a few weeks back, so that's probably why mine "stuck" pretty well.
And, I purchased a heat gun at Harbor Freight tools a few months back for really cheap using one of their infamous "coupons." I had a project I was going to do, which I never...

I ordered mine at the same time, yet the hinge covers came in 3 weeks later. The latch covers, as in your picture, also went on fairly easily and mine haven't popped or otherwise come off yet. But, it did take a few tries on one side to fully click into place.
Edit: Looking at your pictures...
I went PP2. I couldn't justify the extra $1100, and I do mostly city driving on streets/highways so from a price/performance stand point it couldn't be beat.
Great group of guys. I'd highly recommend them, especially if you're in the DFW area and need any sort of install work or dyno time. I can tell you they were $70-$100 cheaper for my PP2 install than any dealer and I trusted them more than the dealers I spoke with.
Headed out to Dallas Mustang and had my Ford Performance Power Pack 2 Installed. Great people, very friendly, great price. Couldn't be happier. Unfortunately I only got to drive back the few miles from there to work after I was done and then was in traffic the entire way. In that short time...
