  1. California Wants To Regulate Fun Tires

I swear half the reason I won’t vote for a certain political party is simply because they want to ban basically every damn thing that I like.
  2. AC crapped out. Going to DIY, thoughts?

Well it held vacuum so I went ahead and charged it to see what would happen. Refrigerant is pretty cheap, it only takes 2 12 oz cans. It is ice cold now, 80 degrees outside and the car is in the sun, with outlet temps on the dash reading in the 30s. Everything seems perfectly normal now. I have...
  3. AC crapped out. Going to DIY, thoughts?

Quick follow up: Borrowed the unit to recover refrigerant, a tank, and a scale. I ran the recovery operation and only got out 3/4 of a pound. Hood sticker calls for 1.5 pounds. Verified there is no pressure left in the system, at least at each Schrader valve. I pulled a vacuum on it for...
  4. AC crapped out. Going to DIY, thoughts?

It’s a 2016. Sounds reasonable to me that everything needs to be gone through if a blockage is the case. Looking at Rockauto they’ve got all the parts to change everything for a reasonable price. I know some would balk at replacing with non-Motorcraft, but considering the reputation of the AC...
  5. AC crapped out. Going to DIY, thoughts?

On Sunday I discovered that my AC suddenly isn’t working. After a bit of troubleshooting, I found that the compressor clutch immediately disengages after receiving a call for AC. According to Forscan, there are no codes present, and the PIDs related to AC show nothing unusual, with the exception...
  6. Hood corrosion - am I on my own?

Man that sucks. I thought that was resolved in the 18 and up models. My 16 has it, I’m letting it get a little uglier before I spring for the new hood.
  7. Is It Normal For Heated Seats To Make A Fan Noise When On?

Mine do this also. There is a fan blowing the heat up through the seat.
  8. Unusual sound.

I would check the wheel bearings.
  9. Utter lawlessness in Wichita, KS regarding burble tunes

Yep, this right here. Some of them may have shit taste, but at least they are into cars, or trucks, or ATVs, or motorcycles etc. I pretty much consider manually controlled locomotion to be a human right, but there is a relatively small group of freaks, geeks, and weirdos that think we should all...
  10. Utter lawlessness in Wichita, KS regarding burble tunes

Burble tunes are lame and sound like shit. We also don’t need any more damn laws. I seriously doubt anyone has died from a burble tune.
  11. Can I touch this chip up on the tail light trim?

I would say just about any gloss black enamel carefully applied would minimize the appearance.
  12. [Help] '22 Mustang gt with this slap noise

    Normal operation. Enjoy your car.
  13. Full Coyote V8 Oil Service in South Korea ($115). What are you guys paying?

I can’t really say for sure since I do my own oil changes at home, but I would imagine the cost at most shops would be pretty similar to what you guys are paying, or more. Sounds like you’re getting a pretty good price especially with an air filter included. Doing it myself, I pay 56 dollars for...
  14. LV in a 10R80

Yes it’s an old thread from the dead, and I don’t have a 10R80 car, but it is interesting anyway that they are speccing LV in that particular application. I’ve been fond of straying from manufacturer specified fluids quite a bit over the years and nothing has blown up on me yet. I’ve ran...
  15. 2015-17 Mustang GT Ford Performance Power Packs

I’m fairly certain that is molded into the intake tube and cannot be bought separately. If yours broke you may be able to find a similar fitting and somehow rig it up.
  16. What modification do you regret?

How do the ultra flows sound now with the h pipe and resonator? How loud?
  17. Collapsed Lash Adjuster?

    Just broken in.
  18. Collapsed Lash Adjuster?

In my opinion 72k is a young motor if it’s just been street driven and taken care of. Also I wouldn’t sweat the lifter noise unless it comes back.
  19. Bad flex coupling.Had no idea how close I was.

Whew good catch. It’s probably something everyone should keep an eye on as these cars age and that rubber starts to deteriorate.
  20. 6R80 Automatic Fluid/Filter Change Interval

I’m at 63k miles and have dropped the pan twice. Both times the fluid looked good. I used Valvoline Maxlife ATF, trans shifts great. It is an easy job, except for the stupid little dipstick being an inch away from the cat.
