Figured I'd come back to this thread to report that back in early May I did pull the trigger on a very lightly used 2019 Camaro ZL1 in Riverside Blue Metallic with a 6-speed.
It's honestly not a fair comparison, but the car is way more fun to drive than my GT was for obvious reasons (10-speed...
All of that plus the simple fact that the car would be my toy in the sense that I just get in and go is why Iām considering one. Another option I was thinking of if I wanted to stay Ford was the Mach 1 but even then Iād have to put a supercharger on it.
Thatās the thing, I might not be racing as often so I would rather the car be stick so Iām more engaged with driving. Plus deep down thereās something about a supercharged Chevy motor that I really like. The LT4 is just that.
I have some time to consider the decision.
I am fighting this exact internal battle. I donāt know if I want to supercharge my ā19 GT A10 or eventually trade it in for a ā19+ ZL1 manual. After thinking about it I donāt think or know if Iāll be racing the car as much as I would have hoped (due to covid and my local track being shut down)...
Has anyone gone with two piece rotors? Even if you havenāt, whatās your opinion on them?
Thinking about getting away from the stock rotors but have heard that itās best to just go with a better pad over anything else.
The Camaro was a nice looking car until the facelift. Kinda donāt like the new look but the new tech they shoved into it (rear view camera to help with crap visibility) was nice.
I considered all of them but given that my family is all Chevy with two to three generations of both Corvettes and...
I currently have the Steeda H-pipe and their mufflers. Very good sound.
Still contemplating a full Borla or Kooks catback. Steeda through a comment on one of their YouTube videos that they are coming out with a full catback. Not sure if that's true, but if it is, I'm wondering if they will...
Washed the car today and put tire shine on my new wheels I got installed yesterday. Took some photos that show the poke from the front and rear.
Don't worry, I took the green stickers off.
Once again for clarity these went on without any extra parts like camber plates and they didn't require...
If you thinks that's brutal, if you haven't done it already, downshift 3-2-1 with the paddleshifters in sport mode. I felt like the car lunged so bad it was going to throw the motor out into the intersection. That's the main thing about this car I want rectified. The jerky behavior of the...
No problem! My goal here on M6G is to create posts that are as detailed as possible so that someone like me who has lurked forever via Google searches who is looking for information can eventually run across one of my posts and can hopefully have all their nagging questions answered with as few...
I think you just gave me another tool to add to my arsenal.
I also have a pressure washer and an armory of Chemical Guys goodies. I haven't taken a car, whether it's my parents' or one of mine (I also own a Mazda 3 hatch to learn how to drive stick), to a car wash in years.
My house gets shade in the afternoon where my car is parked. During the winter months though... I hate getting it done. Tomorrow is supposed to be a decent day where I live. I might not wait for the shade to hit but I'll get it cleaned.
Welp, after today I can say that the guy that did the work on my car is an expert.
I ended up sticking with NTB and the store manager there who did the work has been putting on rims for 15 years and has worked with a variety of tire and rim combinations. Not one scuff mark was on my rims when...
Got these in earlier this week. 275/35/19 front, 285/35/19 rear. They arenāt 305s but these are some meaty tires.
Some of you may have seen my rims.If not Iāve included an image for reference.
This is all getting put on today by NTB. Iāve heard good and bad stories about getting wheels mounted...
The way I have my license plate mounted now it does block some air, but I do not have adaptive cruise on my car and I haven't noticed any marginally increased temperatures will driving the car with spirit.
As far as bolting it to the grill, I just had to be careful not to scratch anything. It's...
