I agree with you 100%. I just like to have the factory nav at least semi-current, not 5+ years old like mine is currently. I have a 2024 F250 and the factory nav isn't really that bad, but the Android Auto integration is really nice on the Sync4 systems. It's clunky and fugly on Sync3.

It's been a few years since I last updated the maps in my Sync3. This was apparent to me when nav failed on me last week when I wound up getting lost b/c Sync3 pointed me to a road that no longer exists. I remember being able download (for free) the map updates. Darned if I can find it now...
