  1. Just another speaker question

Just swapping the speakers with make it sound worse. You should budget for an amp now. You’ll also want a sub asap
  2. 2015 GT Vert Stereo Upgrade

A 12” in the trunk with ample power is plenty for almost everyone. My setup is a lot more compact than yours and most people can’t handle it for long.
  3. Wiring guide for NON B&O premium audio systems. No LOC required.

Why did they not want the 6.5s on 2 channels and the mids/tweets on the other 2 with crossovers? I mixed brands and the Rockford tech support knew more about my Alpine amp than Alpine did.
  4. SUBWOOFER PARTS REQUIRED

It’s decently documented in this group
  5. SUBWOOFER PARTS REQUIRED

Mine doesn't use any more trunk space than OEM and it sounds 1000% better
  6. Subwoofer Choice

I have a 12” punch with 500 watts driving it. It’s too much for most people to handle.
  7. Mustang 2015

It may not work correctly that way. I found threads here and copied someone else’s setup and it works great.
  8. Adding A Subwoofer To A Base 6 Speaker System

I had the 6 speaker system in my f150 and I used Forscan to change it to preamp level, tapped into the speaker wiring using plug adapters and added amps, better speakers and subs. It was pretty simple. A Mustang is basically the same
  9. Forscan EQ

This was not my experience. I toyed with several eq settings in Forscan and there are differences, even with my factory amp disconnected.
  10. Adding trunk subwoofer

For wiring I followed the instructions at the top of the page. I made my own enclosure using the carpet from a wreck as the base. I have a pictorial thread on the process posted here somewhere.
  11. Adding trunk subwoofer

I can't help you with either question but I ditched the 9 speaker system. Kept the head unit and added an Alpine R series amp, R series speakers and a RF Punch 12" sub. I spend under $1k and it is impressive!
  12. Upgrading the sound system with stock DSP/AMP

I don't remember which one I used but it plugged right into the factory harness. If that is the one recommended then it is the one I used too because I got all my info from this group and it went very smoothly.
  13. Upgrading the sound system with stock DSP/AMP

Most of us skipped the dsr and are still happy with the results.
  14. Shaker Pro volume going crazy

The contact behind the knob is wearing out.
  15. Stereo Upgrade!

Are you happy with it? did you use Forscan to change the head unit to preamp?
