  1. So how many of us none seniors own S550's

    From age 17 to 62, I have owned/own a nice but very basic red 1968 coupe with a 289 and 4 speed, a 1973 Mach 1 (blue, and 90 percent bondo), a 1987 LX 5.0 (red), a 1995 GT (red, used to tow both a single snowmobile trailer and a 16 foot aluminum fishing boat), a 2004 GT (yellow), a 2016 GT...
  2. Lazy dealer

I'm happy to report that the dealership fixed up the listing and now has pictures that are appropriate for such an awesome car.
  3. Lazy dealer

I think this presentation / preparation is more like it. Geez, I am really starting to dig these yellow Mach 1s. It's even CPO and in PA, not FL. You Mach 1-ers are a fortunate lot.
  4. Lazy dealer

Oh no, I definitely learned a very hard lesson the first time! I tweaked the wording in my post to make it clear I am not in line for dumbass purchase #2. I just came across this one while doing some window shopping and thought WTH?
  5. Lazy dealer

Maybe I'm just extra-sensitive when buying a Mustang from a dealer in Orlando, Florida (like I did when I ended up with the worst ever mint condition 2016 Mustang GT from "Mint" Auto Sales in Orlando), but come on. Can't you at least move the jump start battery out of the way, close the hood...
  6. Saw my dream car on my birthday

We go to the Old Car Show and Swap Meet at Pierce Park in Appleton, WI nearly every year. This year's 40th anniversary show happened to fall on my birthday, so my wife and adult daughters came with. That already made the day great. Then, after spending hours being overwhelmed by the sheer number...
  7. Off to a rough start with 2016 GT

Well, this is turning out to be a great July 4! I don't think I've had a single time since I got this blessed car from "Mint" Auto Sales in Orlando, Florida that there has not been at least one temporary or permanent code stored. It's taken since October 2023 but it is now showing as error...
  8. Backup Camera Recall

My daughter's 2016 Fusion just started having an issue with the backup camera a few days ago. It's not part of any recall so I think it'll be up to me to sort out. The OEM replacement camera is spendy, up to about $300 for Fusions built before summer 2016 (which hers was), and less expensive...
  9. Off to a rough start with 2016 GT

I decided the wheels can wait. Rather, it's time to start collecting the parts needed to do the digital dash swap. I'll base my acquisition list over what's posted in the sticky for this mod. I'm in no hurry but I hope to at least be able to finish it by late fall. We'll see what life has in...
  10. Off to a rough start with 2016 GT

Oh yes, I do like these Foose wheels. Too bad I don't have $2,200 kicking around to grab a set.
  11. 2025 Les Stumpf Ford Father's Day Annual Car Show

I spoke with the woman that owned the Maverick and she said it used to belong to her father and they restored it as a tribute to him. I thought that was a damn fine thing to do!
  12. Off to a rough start with 2016 GT

It's starting to look like I will most likely be using the services of somewhere like The Wheel Exchange and swapping my 18" OEM wheels for a set they have chromed. You can't send them the OEM style of wheel I have on my 2016 GT and get a different style back from them. That's no big deal since...
  13. 2025 Les Stumpf Ford Father's Day Annual Car Show

I went to this today as per usual. There sure are a lot of nice cars lurking around this area (NE Wisconsin). 2025 Les Stumpf Ford Father's Day Annual Car Show Hopefully you can see the pictures of some of the cars that were at this year's show. It was a bit busy so some pictures have some...
  14. Off to a rough start with 2016 GT

Barring any new calamities with this ongoing project car, I think next up is either going to be chrome wheels like I've always wanted, or to do the digital dash swap. I can't afford to do either one of them at the moment but I can at least start the research and planning. Being somewhat of an...
  15. Off to a rough start with 2016 GT

Oliver had a great time this morning meeting a lot of distant relatives at a local Father's Day Ford car show. It had everything from a GT40, an old GT350, GT500s, SuperSnakes, Falcons, plus some really oddball stuff.
  16. Mustangs parking by Mustangs - Photos

Three of us parked outside the car show grounds. It was the annual Les Stumpf Ford Fathers Day car show in Appleton, WI. Lots of great Mustangs, Falcons some really old cars, (40s and 50s, some even older than that), a GT40, a few Super Snakes, GT500s, Shelbys, etc.
  17. Wisconsin

Howdy, from just west of Appleton, WI.
  18. Wisconsin

If anyone is in the NE Wisconsin area, don't forget about the Les Stumpf Ford car show on Father's Day. Lots of great Fords take part, but there have also been a lot of sweet non-Fords there too every time I've attended.
  19. 2016 GT AC Compressor Diagnosis

I ended up replacing the compressor, condenser/drier, expansion valve and all four AC lines with OEM parts. Flushing the evaporator was no big deal using my air compressor and the spray can of flush I picked up at Napa. The hardest step, for me at least, was installing the new line that goes...
  20. What name did you give your Mustang?

First we have my yellow 2016 GT called Crisis, short for Midlife Crisis as per my oldest daughter. Then we have the wonderful red 2016 GT called Oliver, named after Richard Hammond's Botswana adventure on Top Gear. Although there's usually a bit of cussing before he's called Oliver.
