I'll be up there at some point. Just been focusing on MSRH. Trying to hit that 1:39s lap! Keep an eye out for a satin steel gray ZLE and my son's orange turbo 1le.
There's a guy with a 5.0 with probably similar mods to a PP2 that ran a 1:44s at MSR Houston CW. That is scorching fast for that car. I know a fast guy with an SS1LE that is only running 1:46s out there.
As a reference, I'm starting to get dialed in to the ZLE and running 1:43s out there (goal...
Yep, my son passed a GT500 and a C7ZR1 in green group with his 275hp car! Just means those guys are spooked about wrecking their cars and need seat time to get comfortable. An 18 year old male naturally just sends it head first.
#54 and #59 on that same list:

I've also seen results like you've mentioned. It appears to be a driver's race between the 3 cars. It definitely is between mere mortals on trackdays I've driven.
... and to address the hybrid name, we probably shouldn't use that term either because we might get literal hybrid muscle cars in the 7th or 8th gens, unless they jump straight to EV (BOOOOOO!!!!)
I've thrown out "super muscle car" here before, but didn't get any traction. Still looking for a...
The 6th gen camaros and mustangs have me loving rental car chasses these days. :D
Like I said in an earlier post, my son has the turbo 1le and can't believe how good that little "camaro miata" handles. I know it's the same with the high performance turbo mustang. Camaros and mustangs are true...
I get what you're saying, but there was a ton of engineering that went in to the 500. The timing thing is just meaningless bragging rights for those who care. It's out now, beating it's competition in laptimes and drag times. That was Ford's goal and they did it. I look forward to GM's response...
For sure! I noticed.
My 18 year old son bought and tracks a 2.0 turbo 1LE (just behind the turbo mustang on that list) and runs down so many V8s with it! Showing him the lightning lap times last year is what sold him on the car.
So much progress. Love it.
Take what I said with a grain of salt. Just my theory. I'm using "10/10" as the car's limit and not the driver's. It probably is the driver's limit of "10/10". I just watch the laps and feel like they leave a lot on the table. What that probably means is I can't really tell how close to the...
I haven't seen that guy drive 10/10 with any of them. Been watching them for years. What I like about that is it suggests their times are achievable by enthusiasts like myself.
