  1. ESS + 10R80 = 8.50 @ 160+ in the 1/4 mile

What was his setup and do you have a slip? I remember it vaguely. I know it wasn’t a 6rib though.
  2. ESS + 10R80 = 8.50 @ 160+ in the 1/4 mile

Figured I’d share this. Customer of mine went a new PB in his ESS G3R powered mustang. Has anyone been faster with a similar setup? Any centri car with a 10R80 been faster? Basics of the build are as follows: G3R head unit Stock motor 6 rib belt with factory OEM tensioner Built...
  3. ESS Tuning Rep

You can shoot me a DM if you’d like
  4. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

Yeah for sure, give that a try with a fresh belt and see how much improvement it makes. You’ll notice the extra spring pressure putting the belt on lol.
  5. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

You will need to buy separately most likely. You can try the tensioner by itself but I know people who have tried that and while it improves traction you are still asking too much of the 6 rib belt. You will have no issues with the ATI. Use the crank saver stud if you’d like. You’re better off...
  6. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

Measure the factory pulley and get the one closest to it, I believe the 70mm was the closest. The ceramic bearing upgrade is a good idea as well
  7. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

I would probably do the 8 rib, it’s plenty for your power range. I’d still run a griptec 8 rib upper pulley. The only caveat is the modification to the tensioner. But really you should get the ARS tensioner as it is built for severe load. It will clear with up to a 20% lower. The stock tensioner...
  8. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

You can just remove it. It won’t throw the CEL
  9. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

8 rib is what you want. The 10 rib belts sizes are scarce and more expensive. I thought you didn’t have any slip? 8 Rib is brand new and not even officially released yet. Which is why it’s not on the site. But it’s usually optioned with a 15% lower which requires modification to the factory...
  10. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

The whipple 10 rib kit is $2500. Makes that price seem pretty fair.
  11. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

    Yeah they’re all the same
  12. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

He doesn’t recommend both. You’re just throwing money away. One or the other alone will provide more fuel than your car will handle with the available octane on 93. I recommend doing just the BAP for ease of install. Just like everyone has been doing since 2011
  13. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

You don’t need a BAP and the pump. One or the other. There’s no benefit at all to using both
  14. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

I would try Midnight, RSA, Scott Richardson here in the US.
  15. ESS supercharger options

    Thanks Mike!
  16. ESS supercharger options

I sent you a PM. I’m in Tempe and can get you squared away. There are no recommended tuners in PHX but I can get you set up with a device and tune from a recommended tuner.
  17. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

Its texture powder coat. Not easy to remove without an acid bath. Then you’d risk damaging or clogging the fins. You can request them raw when ordering new. They are cast end tanks so getting them polished is another challenge.
  18. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

It’s not your clutch, it’s tire spin. Street tires aren’t going to hold 2nd gear
  19. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

I would be curious to see a boost gauge and what it actually makes for boost at that elevation. High elevation sucks. What they mean is that 87.5 and smaller on a 6 rib is a lot to ask of that belt. Even with a griptec 85mm the 6 rib isn’t going to be ideal. In normal conditions the 85mm would...
  20. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

Gotcha, then I’d pulley down to your desired boost level with the other pulley/belt options
