I suppose it all comes down to being able to take the calipers off the car myself and re-fit them. But I am also bothered by the rusty appearance of my discs. Its like they need a skim or something.
BTW I am enlgish. I just lived in Canada for 10 years and itts where I got my car. So I know...
yeah I am looking on ebay and its like £300 for the front pair and about £150 for the rear pair. So £450 just to not take mine off. I cant put my car on stilts. I have no garage and my drive is at a severe angle.
I am suprised no refurb place does a drive in and out service.
yeah I looked into that and taking them off my car to send was the issue. I was trying to find a drive in drive out solution. I thuoght about buying second had calipers to get painted, how much did they end up setting you back?
Also what did you do to replace the discs? ford OEM or another...
Does anyone have advice on the brakes? at the moment mine are stock Ford. Not brembo. So they are a horrible metal silver. And the discs could do with looking better. They stop very well but visually they are letting down the wheels.
So I want to upgrade them or get a replacement type that has...
yeah I am really in two minds about whether to go to 20's or stick with 19" wheels. Mine feel small in the arch. So I suppose I was thinking 20's with the staggered width and wider at the back will fill the arches and remove the need for spacers.
I am about to replace all my tyres so its the...
Hey,
I want to do some upgrades to my car this year. Im starting on all four corners. Im running stock wheels that
are 19' and with non brembo brakes and discs on my EB.
I want to make it lower and wider. So I am thinking to replace the shocks and lower it. Then widen the stance
with...
Has anyone done that here? when I got the car I missed the option for the touch screen. I have the old LED style. I would like to update it
so that I can have one of the new kind like this:
anyone with experience of doing this or a better source than ebay?
UPDATE:
So I took it in last week for the change on my evap. In doing so they broke the can. Now the car canot move and was told another 7-10 dats wait for the part.
I complained a lot and got a courtesy puma ( suck ) to drive in teh mean time. But that was another £300 for that part. And No...
That's my point though. The could do it like this.
Stand alone diagnostic £140 ( to deter what you say above )
Diagnostic used in combination with repair £60 ( I think thats still high for 30 minutes work ) but its ok considering its a dealership.
I think by having such high Diagnostic fees...
UPDATE:
Well as my google reseach had helped me it is in fact the evap on the fuel line from tank to engine. So they confirmed what I thought. Here is my breakdown of their service. Although its still pending having the part installed.
Initial visit- not that positive. He made me think they...
Thanks for that, I really appreciate knowing there was a specialist closer to me. I will ring them tomorrow and talk to them.
I am new to windermere. So its weird to move at Xmas time and its just dark and rain all the time. I will spend all my summer on the lake kayaking I hope and swimming...
I am going to try them to see if they are bad. They are local and I am very far from most independent garages. Also this is a very very easy fix. So im not to worried about them messing anything up.
But what bothered me was when I spoke to their Rep on the phone. he said "I am not sure if our...
i have looked into getting my own diagnostic. I just dont trust mechanics or dealserships at all until I get a rapport with them. So the tool and software is about £25. So ill do it and check myself before my appointment.
I am quite sure what it is now. All symptoms point towards an evap...
AI says this:
The 2017 Ford Mustang EcoBoost (S550 generation) sold in the UK has several key mechanical and specification differences compared to its USA counterpart, largely driven by European homologation, right-hand drive (RHD) constraints, and standardizing high-trim features.
