I haven't gotten it anywhere near the limit, but it's a double wishbone front, multi-link rear, and 50/50 balance. It's roughly the same weight as the Mustang , but feels about 1000lbs lighter. The steering is telepathic.
Motor is ...well ...fine. Mine is the 280hp 4. With me driving, it's...
I’m continuing my forever-hunt for what I believe is a tiny vacuum leak.
Got the manifold out. Gaskets looked fine but I have new ones to go back on. I looked pretty closely for cracks in the manifold and just don’t see any. Vacuum tested the IMRC and it’s perfect. Kinda frustrating.
Other...
I have both solenoid wires broken and a crushed tube. I think I can patch those until I find replacement parts. But I have one hose (about 1/2") that pulled lose from somewhere. It had no clamps and just slips on, so I assume it vents. I'm guessing it attaches to the filler neck, but what's a...
I was hoping you were correct, but nope…. (super-gross update!)
Soooo…. WTF is in the black box under trunk? I’m assuming emissions stuffs because I also have a P0443-00 code. Got in late from a 24 hour flight so I’m not about to screw with it today. Plus: Gross! That’s bits of dried...
I high-sided some fresh roadkill this morning. Small deer? Coyote? Couldn't tell. It definitely hit stuff underneath but everything looked ok except I found this connector.
Car runs fine. All the lights work. No idea. I'll have to figure it out later because I'm leaving for an overseas work...
Loosened and re-torqued intake manifold bolts. Not for no reason. I had given the about 1/8th turn a few weeks back to try something.
Anyone confirm that 100 inch/lbs is correct? Feels like nothing.
I’ll add load on the next logging too.
What do the values in the chart represent? Like, in “Best Drivability Distance” 2500 RPM at .75 Load is 8.97. What is that 8.97?
I don’t see that in the list. Everything else vct related is like delta values, duty cycle %, and “status” (which I assume is like good/not good). I’ll look for it though and run another log.
The car is factory tune. The only “mod” is a cat-back.
I’ve got an issue where there’s a distinct vct timing on-off cycle under a light load. It occurs when the cylinder head is >190° and when under a light load. The conditions for the graph attached is cruise control set at 45 MPH, about 2750 RPM, in 3rd, and shallow rolling hills. The on/off...
I doubt I would remove the cover to fix just that. Depends on your OCD level though. That side is much easier than the passenger side, but you're still almost sure to break a clip or 2..
A light touch on a good polishing wheel on a bench grinder would clean up the cone on the lug nuts. But a good polishing wheel would cost more than a new set of lug nuts so.......
