Another good weekend at the NJMP Lightning Course.
There were 2 GT350s, a yellow track, and a Black Tech package who I think it on this board (or another) since he could monitor his transmission temperatures. Luckily he never hit limp.
I used harrys timer which is cool but really needs a...
I have bought a set of pads for track use.
I have the caliper studs installed.
Any tricks to install them quickly at the track?
How are people compressing the pistons? I normally use a C clamp on my other cars.
Do people use any brake grease? If so where?
Should I just install before the...
Race Red GT350. The car is my weekend driver / track toy.
The intent is for all mods to either make the car go faster on the track or look better with no compromise to track performance.
Completed Mods
XPEL Full Hood
Bobs Catch Can
BMR Camber Bolts
ARP Extended Studs Front
ForgeStar CF5V...
It occurs to me I need to order:
25MM Spacers
Open Lugs
Extended studs
Other wise my wheels will be useless
Can any one recommend brands with links I want to avoid any fitments issues. Please only list things you know work.
Thanks in advance!
I plan on grabbing 2 rear wheels and running 4 stock rear wheels for the track so I can rotate.
Looks like I can get to Rear Wheels for $700 to $800. I know the stocks are heavy but it seems like a good low price solution for wheels that will stand up to track use.
I dont care about...
Ill admit I am a JDM guy from the early 2000s before the scene went to shit. I find the current crop of Gt350 rims boring and expensive(and in many cases ugly). I also dont want wheels everyone else has.
Ive been looking at work wheels for the street, preferably in 20s so when I lower the...
Whatever is needed to run the front wheels on the back or the back on the front?
I think you can run the rears on the front with a spacer (What size) and extended lugs?
Can the front be run on the back as is?
TDC invited me to a NJMP track day so I promptly signed up for the wrong one
Ended up running with the Porsche club of america which are a awesome bunch of people. I signed up for novice so I had a instructor for both days. 4 runs a day 24 minutes each.
I had a blast car handled great...
Per the games 20 Inch Wheels and lowered a inch. I wanted to see some other styles on the car. Obviously its a game so some things like offset and lips will be off.
Does the car make less power with the exhaust in standard mode?
Unscientifically to me it feel like its slower in normal mode then sport.
Additional from sport to track I feel like the throttle response(and maybe power?) is noticeably different.
I noticed today sometimes the clutch doesn't feel like it fully engages. Has any one experience this?
I also noticed some times it feels like there is a dead spot almost like the slave cylinder has gone bad.
Ive driven a manual car since my first one long ago FYI and I only have 1200...
Since we dont have a spare has anyone thought about doing this? Id rather have it hidden then a giant metal box maybe change to a batter that doesn't need a vent.
Be nice to move as much weight from the front as possible.
