Id say go for a clean newer stock mach 1. The tremic is nice and the car is relatively safe and realible enough. You can drive cross country in comfort and safety. Run through the gears slowly enjoying that nice coyote. Handle the back roads with ease. They are not as out in the wild as a normal...
Had mine in a old school alignment shop after a suspension upgrade & tires/wheels. She has came a long way for a base 300a. I tried to go for a aggressive oem+ look with a little bit of boldness with the bronze.
Here's an update with the skar subwoofer grill. It's very sturdy and give alot of room for the subwoofer to move. Now it's protected and I can fully use the trunk. Hope this helps someone
They are in stock now. And with my modification using a 6mm bolt and 6mm U Nut it holds the 35 pound subwoofer plus the 15 pound box in place & I've had the car sideways to test this out.
Now without the modification it will probably be okay with a lighter sub but the plastic push pin will...
Maybe ever so slightly. It'll be fine once it's broken in and I get an alignment done. We'll find out after I go to the Tail of the dragon in a few weeks.
Exactly why I went with steeda build your own with the pro actions and minimum drop springs. Anything lower than 0.5 drop you'll have out of spec camber in front and will need plates. When I called around only 1 shop was willing to adjust camber plates so that influenced my decision as well...
Just picked up the skar 12 unloaded box for my 12 inch SSA xcon subwoofer. I had to make a spacer to increase the mounting depth. I did a small mod by using a 6mm U Nut and a 6mm by 35mm bolt with lock nut and washer to secure it in place better. I have this setup powered by a kicker 1k watt...
Looks like they didn't touch the plates at all. Do you have a alignment shop that just does alignments? Preferably a performance shop? That's probably your best bet. I'm lowering on steeda minimum drop springs so I don't mess with the camber as much.
