@50 Deep Great story to read. Since you're here, are there any 18" or 19" wheels that'll fit the GT500? I have never been able to get used to the thinner sidewall tire of a 20" wheel. When I went from my 19" PP1 wheels to my 20" Roush wheels, I imediately knew I made a mistake.
..My 500...
I like black wheels but freely admit they all look alike unless you do post production editing of pictures or you see them in person, up close and parked. :) My favorite wheels of all time were polished billet American Racing Torque Thrust II's but they were so incredibly hard to keep nice, I...
Well, a moment ago we randomly got an email updating us. :) It has gone to get the Stripes and it'll ship after that. I guess the Powers that be were just waiting for me to start a thread about it, lol.
My 500 has been "in production" since the 6th. How long should I wait to bug the dealer and if they have any additional info? The couple threads I found here says "times vary" but I didn't say how long it normally takes?
The last communication with the dealer said it would take a little...
chopped strand is not forged carbon. Also, are they skinned over plastic/fiberglass or are they pure carbon? Looking close at the edges and brackets, they look like skinning. I've been playing with CF for a couple years and just being in the circles of people much better than me, I'm not sure...
My first love is Novas so any variation of 66 to 72 in Protouring trim. A ā57 Ford Custom 300 would also be acceptable. 67-70 Fastbacks are also on the top of the list. Iāve had some version of all of them as a youngling but Iād love to start again with the budgets Iād have now.
the thing...
My aunt also bought a new 2020 at MSRP with the same basic options I am getting. They are out there but they'll probably be at smaller dealers with them coming in already.
A few weeks ago, I did have an offer from a local dealer but it had to come with the CFTP. That's too much blood from...
My dealer is selling me mine with no ADM. It was a dealer stock order in April that will be here in a few weeks. I had ordered a Mach1 through my dealer but they allowed me to switch it over to the GT500.
Iām not a pro body man or anything but Iāve seen clear coats still be soft two weeks after itās been done. I put my small painted parts in a home made hotbox to harden them faster. Just sitting out Iād probably give it a week in a warm area with good ventilation.
FANTASTIC!
That came out amazing. Your paint guy did a fantastic job. Before you put it on, let the paint cure a little while. Engine bay particulate can embed itself in the clear before it has a chance to degas and harden all the way. If he baked it then it'll probably be fine. The...
Those look like good colors. No more Antimatter Blue which is cool for me, lol. I can't wait to find out how many of each color they will be making for '21.
I don't know if it helps but my GT500 is dealer stock but it went into production today, 10 days early from the expected date. Antimatter blue, HP, Tech Pack and Vinyl Stripes
the update is, I bought a gt500 and Iām selling all my parts, lol. I never got them installed. :)
Edit: let me know if you want them, Iāll make you a deal with Oil Pump gears.
I just found one coming in dealer stock with no markup and it had all the options I already wanted. Call around to as many dealerships as you can. They are out there.
