Just curious for thoughts on using the KAM reset feature in an SCT or other tuner, done at the same time as loading a new tune. I know that the KAM reset is the same as unplugging the battery cable for at least an hour or so, enabling the computer to "unlearn" throttle and other parameters. This...
Curious to know if anybody else is running a Steeda tune via the SCT tuner. As good as it is, I don't see tons of talk about their tunes specifically. It has been an eye opening experience so far, compared to my previous Bama tune.
Behold...what this guy did to a Viper which I witnessed at Cars & Coffee...FOR THE WIN.
It's the one on the left, I should have taken close-ups to show all of the homemade flberglass shapes he made and stuck on there, still seeing all of the dust etc. Notice the dual Dodge logos on the front...
Is there any definitive info on one engine vs another being blown? Lots of conflicting statements, people saying they were pushed too hard and heavily modified and other people saying they were just tooting along at normal speed when it happened.
I like minimalist badging personally, too many horses and logos and letters makes it look like we're just sticking a bunch of stuff on our cars.
Considering a fuel door in black, the nicely priced ones all say "Mustang" or have the pony on them...it's pushing $200 it seems to get a plain...
I'm not into bashing companies, Bama's service and response time is always good, but as far as the product / tune...I thought my Bama tune was great when compared to factory.
Then I went with a Steeda tune and realized it is vastly superior in daily driving (very smooth, whereas the Bama tune...
Ah, a Glendale guy. Just got home from there, got to party with Adam Carolla at his shop and check out all those Paul Newman race cars and Lamborghini's...! :hail:
I showed him pics of my "sequential shifter" paddle transplant mod and it led to an entire conversation about how he's trying to...
Just installed a European EcoBoost decklid, obtained from a forum member in the Netherlands. Don't ask me how to get one, mine was by posting in the Europe regional forum!
Took my EcoBoost out for the second time learning the new Steeda tune, hit a new best 0-60 of 5.0 seconds and 1/4 mile of 14.0 @ 99 just in regular Sport mode.
TJ, I just loaded the Steeda tune onto my SCT X4 (wasn't on sale but only $150 for tunes for life is a great deal) and it has now replaced my Bama tune. More info later, but man Steeda should do a better job at advertising its EcoBoost tune as it has cured every issue I had with the Bama as well...
Hit 20,000 miles, replaced the plugs with NGK 6510 and gapped them at .028" (out of the box they were .040 to .042 purchased from CJ Pony Parts, so don't assume they don't need gapping upon arrival regardless of where you buy them). Idle is smoother for sure, most noticeable change it seems. For...
