  1. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

I don't have a dog in this fight but it seems to me that Proshop's logic is sound. I don't see how iat could possibly be near freezing....unless you are running here in Minnesota in winter.
  2. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

It was the easy to access low end torque that I liked about the Roush...that and no additional NVH. No need to rev it to the moon to make power and it sounded stock. Personally, I can't stand the sound of a procharger but that is up to individual taste. There are a number of factory...
  3. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

Just curious....has anyone ever run 9s with a 2018+ Roush? Seems I recall the guy from Texas running VERY low 10s but I haven't kept up with the latest strip numbers. Doing it with a manual would be a noteworthy event to say the least.
  4. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

While I now sound critical of the Roush kit, I really did like it on my 2018. I still miss that car. If I were getting a new Mustang, it would really hate to immediately lose any powertrain warranty with a non-Roush kit.
  5. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

I was thinking of you, buddy, when I said "if you throw enough cash and work at the Roush!" 😃
  6. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

If you plan to mod it further after the SC or look for what is left on the table, I am not sure why you would consider the Roush. The small throttle body and poorly designed heat exchanger are limiting factors. If you throw enough cash and work at the Roush, there is clearly more power to...
  7. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

All your rowdy friends have settled down.
  8. Perfect launch from a dig in a boosted 6R80

If wheelspin is accompanied by wheelhop, as it was with my boosted Mustang on street tires, it is a great way to create driveline damage.
  9. Perfect launch from a dig in a boosted 6R80

The Nitto NT555rii tires that many of us currently use and like were not even available when those posts were made.
  10. Perfect launch from a dig in a boosted 6R80

Racing a boosted Mustang from a dig without the proper tires (DRs) is never going to be satisfying. With street tires, about the only solution is use less throttle until it gets to 3rd or 4th gear.
  11. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

Just curious....do you know the lowest cost way to ship larger and heavier items like tires and wheels?
  12. New Nitto drag radial released NT555R2

These tires are a good option for a naturally aspirated Mustang for street or occasional drag strip use. Based on my experience, 5-6000 miles is about all you can expect. Add a blower and they are useless at the drag strip. Mickey Thompson ET street R is the way to go for serious drag...
  13. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

It will be interesting to see if this more aggressive tune creates more heat and leads to heat-soak issues. Hopefully not a problem in February. Does the Wengard tune alter the IAT2 temp when the throttle body closes?
  14. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

Awesome! I was on the waiting list at 3 dealerships to order a 2022 GT500. None of them got back to me with allocations. That was one of the reasons I went in a different direction.
  15. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

Yeah, we are empty nesters and we had 4 cars. That just seemed a bit silly. My wife did not like riding in the Mustang so it barely got driven. With the used car market so hot, I sold it for a really good price. We also had a Lincoln Continental that was the daily driver. I also sold...
  16. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

LOL....yes you are a loon! Selling my Mustang was an emotional experience. I hated seeing the new owner drive away. However, I have recovered nicely.
  17. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

As I recall, there were a few instances of under VERY light throttle (barely moving) that I would see 2nd briefly pop up. Otherwise, in normal mode and normal throttle, 2nd was skipped as it should be. Shuffling through so many gears to get to 25 MPH is unnecessary. Again, under WOT or...
  18. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

The 10A is designed to skip 2nd and 4th in normal mode when accelerating at low to moderate throttle. It only uses all gears under heavy throttle. Sport mode uses all the gears regardless of throttle position. It should also skip 2nd on downshifts in normal drive mode. Sometimes Roush's...
  19. wheel hop on 1-2 shift, what can I do to fix it?

Hey Jerry! Yes, a relay was bad that prevented the intercooler pump from running. However, I no longer have the Mustang. I just didn't drive it enough to make sense keeping it. Besides, I had it 3 1/2 years and sold it for what it cost me when it was new. Crazy used car market!
  20. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

Unless Roush has a newer calibration that I am unaware of, the best I ever ran was 10.89 @ 129 on the latest P2 tune.
