wheel hop on 1-2 shift, what can I do to fix it?

I won't knock BMR but I like the chromemoly better than the mild steel, also steeda's IRS brace looks like it was designed by Ford engineers, and didn't make production due to the bean counters.
I didn't use the IRS brace, locked it out with the bushings. Wasn't in the list of items that BMR equipped cars in the low 1 second 60' times have. I'd be really happy with a 1.4 60', convertor coming soon hopefully I'll get there.

Sorry, should prefaced that with "if you have a welder" the it's just a matter of round stock of your choice, gussets, etc which Amazon has in abundance. Or I can make you a set haha.

I wouldnt throw any more suspension at it. I would make sure your alignment is on point specifically rear camber is close to 0. Possible you could be underheating or overheating the tires? If alignment is good and burnout proper then its time to go ET street R.

I learned to short shift second on the street with the paddles to eliminate the craziness with the 1-2 shift at WOT under boost. Launches really good in first with my P1X/3.55's (better than starting in second) and just a nice screech out of the NT555RII's instead of a full dance. As soon as I see the tach pass 4,000 I pull the upshift paddle, and it shifts between 5,000-6,000RPM to second, then slip the shifter into drive.

Was planning on going tomorrow night to try the 2nd gear leave, but had something come up; won't be until probably next month now. Should have the converter by then. I've thought about short shifting 1st as well as go in S mode, then let it shift at WOT from then on.

It would have to be a very bad prep for a 2nd gear to be better than 1st on a stock converter 800whp mustang.

This is exactly the approach I took when I had the spinning 1st to 2nd issue. I already knew my burnout was on point. (Years of practice & a pyrometer). I took the car to a shop and got a drag racing alignment. Zero back. -2 front. And after that didn’t work. I replaced the nitto Nto5r’s with MT e/t Street R’s. It was the tires all along.

Hey Jerry! Yes, a relay was bad that prevented the intercooler pump from running. However, I no longer have the Mustang. I just didn't drive it enough to make sense keeping it. Besides, I had it 3 1/2 years and sold it for what it cost me when it was new. Crazy used car market!

315/50/17 ET Street R's solved the 1-2 shift spinning for me.
