You should have a rigid foam piece there which has a cutout for the tire inflator kit. I also have a 16' Base GT and mine comes with it. Either someone took it out or it was an error from the factory. Just go to the dealer and say it was missing.

Oil change (Pennzoil Platinum Ultra 5W-20, Motorcraft FL500S) and rotated my tires. It looks like my stock tires need to be changed at 20k miles, and these are the stock 235/50/18's.

That is not right. All US GT's regardless of package have hood vents. The European GT's have no hood vents.

I may be alone on this but I think the best sounding exhaust on an S550 is the Roush axlebacks with the stock resonator, besides the GT350 of course. Unpopular opinion but I'm not of a fan of how Corsa's sound either.

No one really knows if the driveshaft and AC condenser issues will be fixed with the 18's. Besides those known issues from the 15-17's, the updated Coyote engine may have some issues with direct injection but no one really knows until it comes out. Your call really.
