  1. New EBM Horsepower World Record 6/10/15: 520HP/494TQ (STD), 508HP/482TQ (SAE)

Wow, some of you guys have rough commutes! There's a reason we released our turbo kit with two medium size turbo options; a big turbo may get all the glory but the quick spooling medium turbos work great on daily drivers. Once more kits get out there you'll see just how nice these cars behave...
  2. New EBM Horsepower World Record 6/10/15: 520HP/494TQ (STD), 508HP/482TQ (SAE)

The auto is proving to be a killer setup for drag passes, easily knocks 1/2 second off compared to the MT. Imagine if you had 500+ HP with your auto! That would be a ten second car all day long.
  3. New EBM Horsepower World Record 6/10/15: 520HP/494TQ (STD), 508HP/482TQ (SAE)

Of course! But not today! We're in the middle of a heat wave and I just want to stay inside and sip iced tea all day. We have slicks and skinnies sitting at the shop waiting to go on. This thing absolutely rips! The way this car pulls through the gears is nuts. It was already walking on...
  4. car stopped making boost

I'd recommend that you work with your dealer while the car is still stock. Get the issue sorted out before you start modding it.
  5. New EBM Horsepower World Record 6/10/15: 520HP/494TQ (STD), 508HP/482TQ (SAE)

Thanks everyone! This past week has gone by in a blur. What a rush! It's a great thrill to be part of the team at FFTEC Motorsports. I finally had a chance to sit down, relax and take it all in. Yes there's been huge progress over the past 6 months. Just in the past few days we saw another...
  6. New EBM Horsepower World Record 6/10/15: 520HP/494TQ (STD), 508HP/482TQ (SAE)

Wow, that's close. I knew I should've pumped up the tires just a little! :)
  7. New EBM Horsepower World Record 6/10/15: 520HP/494TQ (STD), 508HP/482TQ (SAE)

Our redline cutoff was set to 7200, this engine seems to handle high revs easily. I've also seen the MS3 guys rev out the stock block/head with no issue.(they have a similar engine). Obviously the stock turbo runs out of breath at high revs so there's no point in revving it out until you...
  8. New Product Release: FFTEC MAX! Performance Turbo System for the Mustang Ecoboost!!

Well, it's a 62mm turbo that spools up at 3900rpm, so it's awesome.
  9. New Product Release: FFTEC MAX! Performance Turbo System for the Mustang Ecoboost!!

Since turbo upgrades are a new experience on this platform I thought I'd share some of my seat-of-the-pants impressions from driving our shop car. Driving experience- The smaller EFR7163 was a pleasure to drive during commutes and on the freeway. Stoplight to stoplight in morning traffic was...
  10. FFTEC Motorsports Photo Log - Development on our 2015 EB Mustang !!

It's here! http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24339 Thanks for your patience and understanding. I realize many of you were eager for a turbo upgrade but we had to stick to our schedule and finalize all of the long term durability tests before releasing this to the public. I'm...
  11. New Product Release: FFTEC MAX! Performance Turbo System for the Mustang Ecoboost!!

Hi Dan, That's a good question. IMHO 400/400 is safe IF you have a good, consistent tune and good fuel. A good tune will have the ability to repeatedly hit the torque targets in order to stay inside the safety margin. If you look at the torque curve on our EFR7163 dyno charts you can see...
  12. seepage at oil pan/timing cover

Haha, no. The head must be removed to install pistons. That's why I was talking about re-timing the cam and crank sprockets. Since there's no keyway on the stock crank and no pins on the cam gears, the timing needs to be re-set when they're removed.
  13. New Product Release: FFTEC MAX! Performance Turbo System for the Mustang Ecoboost!!

Good points all around. Also keep in mind that the state of tuning for our turbo kit is still relatively new. I'm interested to see what other tuners can do with this hardware once it becomes more common. The EFR7064 is a great option for those looking for a strong turbo with stock-like...
  14. New Product Release: FFTEC MAX! Performance Turbo System for the Mustang Ecoboost!!

I've heard of axles snapping at high torque, not the driveshaft. Upgraded axles are recommended if you have sticky tires and you like to launch it. We can provide upgraded axles, just contact the shop.
  15. Overboost

The stock tmap sensor is 3 bar, it can read up to 29psi.
  16. seepage at oil pan/timing cover

Yes, of course. We can also pin both cams.
  17. The Great BIG CAI Thread

Yes, here's a nice thread posted by one of our customers. He took several good pics. Let me know if you have any questions! http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showpost.php?p=435937&postcount=1
  18. seepage at oil pan/timing cover

Not really, the dual mass mechanism is built into the flywheel so there really isn't any extra material to remove. It's like two flywheels linked to each other with a few springs and friction damper material in between.
  19. seepage at oil pan/timing cover

This is the first time I've heard of a leak in that area. Have you looked closely to find the source? If the leak is coming from the timing cover it's going to be a lot of work to re-seal it. The timing cover needs to be removed before you can remove the oil pan, and the crank pulley needs to...

I hate to keep teasing you like this but... we're working out the final details right now. :headbang:
