  4. Preliminary Results - FFtec Motorsports FF600 runs 122 MPH in the Quarter Mile

and tire growth give us an extra 200rpm, so we can stay in 4th just over 130mph without shifting into 5th. Yes I ran the calcs, if things work out right it'll help the times quite a bit. :headbang:
  5. FFTEC Engine Build in Progress

Update! Progress is rolling along. Every time I install another part on this engine I'm reminded that it's going to make power more easily than our shop car. And our shop car has made excellent power. During the course of testing our shop car has set multiple records and raised the bar...
  6. FFTEC Engine Build in Progress

I'm glad to see Maperformance is following our build thread. We appreciate that you've acknowledge your incorrect statements about our product offering, and have corrected yourself. and now back to the build thread...
  7. FFTEC Engine Build in Progress

This is a new block. Yes. Absolutely! Haha, I hope you don't mind if I don't give away our build specs on a public forum, our competitors are watching too. FYI I am very open with our customers about our specs. I'm happy to see our engines/parts/turbos go as fast as possible at tracks...
  8. FFTEC Engine Build in Progress

I've said before that an AT equipped EcoBoost with a built motor, big turbo and the right supporting mods would be a killer at the track. It takes the right combination to get into the tens, I'm sure it will be done sometime soon. I wonder who will be first? The car in this thread has a 6...
  9. FFTEC Engine Build in Progress

Thanks, yes the dish is aggressive. The goal for this engine is to make big power at high boost so the comp ratio was lowered slightly. Naturally for other engine builds the comp ratio depends on how much the block and head are decked. Theoretically the comp ratio on this engine should be...
  10. FFTEC Engine Build in Progress

Works for me. There's several pics, maybe it just need a little time to view them all?
  11. FFTEC Engine Build in Progress

Update! I assembled and installed the pistons/rods. Each piston and rod is weighed and balanced down to a fraction of a gram. If you look closely you can also see our asymmetric skirt design. Then each piston is paired up with a matching rod to keep the entire reciprocating assembly matched...
  12. FFTEC Engine Build in Progress

When we started planning this build our goal was to make somewhere around 400 to 450 HP with his car. That was back when our shop car was making 435. Since then the development and tuning has pushed the boundaries much higher, our shop car is making nearly 100 HP more now, so our HP goal for his...
  13. FFTEC Engine Build in Progress

Hi Glenn, Good questions! The crank girdle is OEM. This engine will have the balance shaft assembly deleted. The stock rods are forged, but not a high quality forging. It's hard to see in pics but the finish and grain of the stock rods is coarse and cheap. Here's a stock piston/rod; The...
  14. FFTEC Engine Build in Progress

Hello Everyone! I'm about to start assembling the next built FFTEC EcoBoost engine so I thought I'd take a few pics and share the details you'd find inside a built EcoBoost engine. Some of you may remember the photos we posted back when we installed the first built EcoBoost motor in our...
  15. New EBM Horsepower World Record 6/10/15: 520HP/494TQ (STD), 508HP/482TQ (SAE)

Impressive! Yes that would get a lot of attention for sure! :D There's a few other ideas I'd like to try before starting an EcoBoost BBQ tho.
  16. New EBM Horsepower World Record 6/10/15: 520HP/494TQ (STD), 508HP/482TQ (SAE)

More famous than our shop car? We should talk! Coming soon! Don't worry, we have some good vids. ;) Good idea, that'll be fun to tease the V8 guys a little. :) Thanks! Def a great start. We've already made a list of changes we'll need to make for the next track day. There's more time in...
  17. New EBM Horsepower World Record 6/10/15: 520HP/494TQ (STD), 508HP/482TQ (SAE)

Thanks! We're all stoked about the latest HP numbers. The bare block itself is proving to be very durable at 500+HP despite the open deck design. The stock pistons and rods have lower limits tho. While it may be possible to hit high HP on a completely stock block with stock pistons and...
  18. FFTEC Motorsports Photo Log - Development on our 2015 EB Mustang !!

Yes we're still using the EFR 8374. It's a great turbo, still has plenty of power left in it. It seems to be ideal for drag racing since it makes big power up top and also has great boost recovery between shifts.
  19. FFTEC Motorsports Photo Log - Development on our 2015 EB Mustang !!

Yes it looks nice! Goes fast too :headbang: That MPH is flying! I just woke up this morning and found my inbox loaded with updates from the track day yesterday. It looks like the guys had some great results! Here's another pic from yesterday.
