Progress is rolling along. Every time I install another part on this engine I'm reminded that it's going to make power more easily than our shop car.
And our shop car has made excellent power. During the course of testing our shop car has set multiple records and raised the bar...

I've said before that an AT equipped EcoBoost with a built motor, big turbo and the right supporting mods would be a killer at the track. It takes the right combination to get into the tens, I'm sure it will be done sometime soon. I wonder who will be first?

I assembled and installed the pistons/rods. Each piston and rod is weighed and balanced down to a fraction of a gram. If you look closely you can also see our asymmetric skirt design.
Then each piston is paired up with a matching rod to keep the entire reciprocating assembly matched...

Yes we're still using the EFR 8374. It's a great turbo, still has plenty of power left in it. It seems to be ideal for drag racing since it makes big power up top and also has great boost recovery between shifts.
