    Those vids are 3 yrs an no real service answers, but just look at 2018 GT V8, it will have port injection along with DI so that is a silent answer.

    What he said ^^ You need to check if it hold pressure w/o any leakage. mightyvac is best for this, also check all manifold hoses, like the ones to map sensor, a leak here could cause higher boost. Also check all hoses at boost valve. I would run stock tune and see if same higher boost shows...

    Yeh, but if the TQ increased so did the HP, at least at the peak TQ rpm, maybe it still drops a lot as rpm grows so max HP is same. So in other words better mid-range power. It seems they did make changes to the engine as it was noted the FP head is not direct bolt on to newer models of 2.3...

    The problem with above statement, is the ECU is getting tricked into thinking its boost is not yet up to max point, so it increases duty cycle on boost signal. the unit is modifying the map sensor output and this can affect many values not just boost.

    I don't know on other states but here in NY on a new car you get like 4 yrs of only visual test, no sniffer test. You can't have check light on etc.

    There no more the standard key or pin that time and hold cam and crank timing. So now Ford only uses bolt, clamping force to hold it, and yes there can be issue with it loosening.

    You got it right, it will affect all gears ratios from MT/AT or CVT :)

    right, I just through that 400hp # out there. With the way EB are setup to TQ# is probably more important as engines get massive TQ at repetitively low rpms. I just wanted to see how there default rods match up to stock ones. also what rod cap bolt size do they use.

    Technically it shouldn't be an issue for any real engine building shop, but with one caveat. They do need to be up to date on handling a sleeved cylinder type block, be able to support it properly during honing etc. The stuff like crank balance, rod bearing crush/clearances, piston clearances...

    Yes, the WGA is ECU controlled so there a controller valve. The Bypass valve I don't think has anything to do with boost, it may open more than older vacuum/boost type. I think throttle and boost is what controls output. They can use throttle as Tq/HP limiter or even traction control .

    I would agree the ECU will have limiters and closed loop on boost pressure so a stock tune "probably" would work ok as long as the spool is close and boost base setting is close to stock. The only thing which I don't know is being the turbo is able to flow a lot more the ECU "might" close...

    87 is baseline , we used to be able to get 96, 98 etc too, but now 93 is most common, but that even depends on state. I am also not sure you can compare the numbers directly. you need to check the same rating units. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octane_rating

    It's hard to say for sure with vid but i have to agree it sounds like the fan. If anyone is ever worried about turbo issues there are some things to you can check and good chance will show issues (bearing wear ones). If you remove intake to turbo so you can touch intake side, with little effort...

    yeh, not going to happen. But if a camshaft bolt, being the center sprocket one, I could see it dropping a valve into piston cause of out of time. haven't worked on these engines but pretty sure there no pins for timing. So if crank pulley or cam bolts loosen you lose timing (I still can't...
