  1. When should I mod my car

I would wait a few thousand miles to make sure nothing's off before doing anything major drivetrain wise. Wouldn't want to have some clutch or engine issue spring up and then fight with ford about whether it was your supercharger that did it. That being said, Oil Separator, CAI, DP, Exhaust and...
  2. was given my 1st ride ever in new camaro (13), 1st impression = cheap

You mean 90's? The 4th gen was around from 1993-2002 and was designed in the late 80's.
  3. Blade key and enhanced security package.

No....That's now how they work. The blade key has no chip in it at all. The equivalent would be putting a piece of metal into an explorer key and saying it would work on the mustang. All fobs are programmed to their car.
  4. was given my 1st ride ever in new camaro (13), 1st impression = cheap

That's not a new camaro. They just redesigned it for 2016 and it's a huge improvement over the previous camaros. I always loved the cars, but hated the interiors. That's why I stayed away from them this time around, but it would be a hard call if they were already out when I got my Stang. The...
  5. AdvanceTrac service light on, plus others

Looks like a wheel speed sensor issue. I had the same thing happen on a different car. It could also be a bad fuse sensor. All of the systems are interconnected, so a Traction Control System fault can cause the ABS to go on, power assist for the steering to stop, etc.
  6. S550 = "pretty" car

Indeed it is a pretty car. I find it sexy as well. I feel happy that I own a pretty sexy car and not some prius.
  7. FOR SCIENCE! (I ran out of gas)

That sucks that you ran out of gas. I always fill up when I'm close to a station I trust when the light comes on or before long trips.
  8. is it really necessary

It isn't necessary. I knew someone who never wore a seatbelt and put his seat so far back he could barely touch the wheel and couldn't really see. I thought it was ridiculous, but he thought that he looked good.
  9. What is the highest mileage car you have ever owned?

Personally, I only had a 2015 Chrysler 200 and it had about 7,700 Miles on it. That's gone now (was a lemon) and now I have 3800 miles on the EB since September. My dad had a 2004 Acura TL that had 132k miles in 2013.
  10. car is slower after oil change?

I don't have any Chevron stations near me. New Jersey sucks!
  11. Garaged it =(

Hmmm...What is this 'weather is bad car'? I just use the Mustang year round. Assuming it doesn't try to kill me the first winter and I chicken out and buy a winter beater. ;) But alas, I put my snow tires on yesterday, and I should be set for the cold months.
  12. Kill it with fire

Im going to assume the best in those folks. Maybe they wanted to make sure that the wheels would clear the front brakes? It still looks hideous though.
  13. DirtyBlueshirt's Accident and Repair Thread

That definitely sucks! A lot of Mustangs getting into accidents unfortunately. Hope that yours gets fixed quickly and soon! Don't forget to file a diminished value claim.
  14. So close, yet so far

I hope he didn't if insurance on a base V6 is $400/month. Definitely doesn't make sense with insurance that high. If it was $200/month, I'd say go for it, because that'll be just about any newer car that has full coverage (at least in NJ) for someone in that age group. I was at like $180/month...
  15. Ecoboost Engine Blown?

They get paid at a significantly lower rate to a point where the dealership doesn't profit at all and can potentially lose money if the work takes longer than expected. They're paid at a rate set by Ford and for a specific amount of time to fix the issue. If they take less time, they get the...
  16. ECU REPLACEMENT and ECU TUNE

They probably won't care for oil changes. It's warranty work where they might look for reasons to skimp out on it because they get paid a lot less for warranty work than they do for customer billed work.
  17. ECU REPLACEMENT and ECU TUNE

It would probably be need to be programmed each time and will reset most if not all settings every time you swap it out. They may be tied to VIN #'s, etc. Not worth it in my opinion. Just only bring the dealer in for warranty work and you should be fine, or find a mod friendly dealer. Just flash...
  18. It's October. Who's still on summer tires...

This week's going to be pretty hot! I also ordered new winter tires and wheels today. I'm going to miss the summer tires!
  19. 2016 Ecoboost Stock Exhaust

I've created a little video to show how the stock exhaust sounds on an ecoboost mustang. I'm still working on my editing skills and the like, so let me know what you think I can do to improve!
  20. PP vs. no PP - how much $ is too much?

Do you mean $2500? $4500 is way too much for PP unless they include other things like 201a/401a.
