I don't understand the buyer buying an R without the wheels... should have just bought a new, regular, 350 and he'd be at the same price. Either way, good for the seller on getting what he wanted out of it.
This is true. Sunset Ford, where I live, had a 2018 GT350R for over 8 months in the showroom. They were asking 120K for it, only to sell it for around 80 something to someone out of state.
This is true. Plus, most of the dealers want to have one in the showroom to get people in to see it. The only issue is, they charge an atrocious ADM on the showroom models.
Man, I really wanted to read all this, but when I see one giant ass paragraph, I just skip through. I think what you're asking is an allocation for one at MSRP... or something along the lines... I think you'll have to call around and shop. That's your best bet.

I really like it on the Black Car... I don't know how I feel about the red one. I guess it's all in the color :) Can you PM me the price with the tires and all for the R? The autofanatics guy went with 30 tall tire on a 20... but I think that's going to be too tall. Probably should be 25 on the...
