Phil, there isn't really a thread that settles it. It's really been an ongoing discussion/debate, heated at times, with a couple threads. This one, and the "Pro Dyno installs.." thread.
I think the conclusion, that we all seem to agree on is this: Installing a catback onto a stock vehicle...
Oh yeah. I've decided I'll do the whole thing all at once. As my signature indicates, the hardest part is justifying to my wonderful and beautiful wife why I want to yank a perfectly good, and new, exhaust off our new car. At least I do have the ammo that she did hear it with a great sounding...
OK, be easy on me. I too was quite surprised by Tommy V.'s dyno results today. In no way did I ever think we'd see 20+ HP, but I absolutely did think 10 or so would be reasonable to expect. So, I'm here to eat my crow also and take it like a man. On a stock Mustang there just isn't any...
Swapping straight pipe for the front resonators would be very easy. I'd already looked for shorter resonators to replace the rears. Wouldn't be that bad.
Ronnie, I'm so sorry to hear about this. But I have been blasted, hell even called a troll being one of those "S.W. loses power guys". I have tried to warn about them. I now believe everything about them is a nightmare. Hopefully, you can return or cancel the order thru Lethal. As far as the...
Hard to see in the picture, but could it be seam sealer for the body joints? I work at the Claycomo assembly plant in Kansas City in the paint department for the Transit van. Sealer is applied by hand and also by robots and I'll just assume it would be similar on the Mustang. It is then...
I did. Scared the dog! I posted here, started a thread called "Gratuitous open header video" or something like that. I'd link it but on my phone, so kinda a pain.
Not a problem. I wish they stayed set like they were when you shut it down, kinda the same with the center info screen if you prefer it to be in gauge mode. But I'm surely not complaining!
I agree. No tune required because the inlet tube isn't allowing more air to flow by the mass air meter than the stock tube. Sure, theoretically the air is 'colder' and thus more dense which is good for power. So the gains will probably be minimal. The real benefit and goal here is to get...
Hey Tommy, give me more credit than that!! 40 minutes baby from jacking it up to slamming her back to the ground! Of course, the catback had been put on and off twice, so I did have a little practice. Pretty pathetic, I know.
Snowed here a couple weeks ago. I had to back the car out of the garage and turn it around and back it into the garage again. Got snowflakes on it as we just started to get flurries. I was pissed.
My experience went great. I was searching for a car with a certain set of options and color. The Midwest Ford Dealers website allowed me to search every Ford dealer's inventory by distance from my house. Well, 161 miles from me, Dick Edwards Ford in Manhattan, Kansas had one, a Race Red GT...
